Title How to say thank you

Title: A Way of Gratitude

Bible: Matthew 22:37-40

Starting Point of the Word>>

At this time, we would like to share our grace under the title “How should I be thankful”.

Nick Digiamo of New Jersey, USA, made a curious discovery while raising pigs as pets.

We found that when pigs were given delicious food, they repeated the three words “gulkkkkul” twice.

Each time you give food, you must repeat it twice.

So he analyzed that this must be a sign of gratitude to the pig's master. This means that even pigs know how to be grateful.

But today, many people live without gratitude.

According to the Bible, only one of the ten lepers healed by Jesus was thankful.

Example>>

In 1997, there was a summer camp for elementary school students at Daecheon Beach.

When some elementary school students fell into the water, some high school students jumped in and rescued the elementary school students.

Unfortunately, three high school students who tried to save elementary school students died of a heart attack.

But what is really surprising is that on the day of the joint funeral of three high school students, the surprising thing is that none of the surviving elementary school students and their parents appeared.

It is a world that has lost its gratitude.

What I am saying is that before I tell you how to be thankful, it is more important to have a grateful heart.

How about us as saints?

Although we have the thrill of being saved through the grace of Christ Jesus, we are not thankful, we are not thankful even though we are guided by life, and we are not thankful even if we experience God’s wonderful grace.

Why?

That's because many people don't know how to be grateful.

I hope today will be a precious time for us to discover ways of giving thanks through the Word.

Go to Word>>

So how should we thank God?

First, like a child, you must give thanks with all your heart.

According to John 6:9,

“I had a child with five barley loaves and two fish.”

Says.

We can see our heartfelt gratitude through a child in the wilderness of Bethsaida.

The time is the evening.

It was a time when I was exhausted and tired after listening to the Word all day, and I was hungry because there was no food.

At such a time, this child endured all day long for the lunchbox he wanted to give to Jesus.

How much would you like to eat and how hungry would you be?

As a child rather than an adult, it must have been more difficult and difficult to endure hunger.

Nevertheless, this child waited patiently.

Jesus gave thanks with this little child's five bowls of fish.

Blessings are blessings and thanksgiving.

This is heartfelt gratitude.

You should always have a heart of gratitude to the Lord all day long.

God delights in serving with all your heart.

Gratitude without a heart does not rejoice.

What was the problem with the Jews?

God lamented that my people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. God groaned when he saw that Israel had no heart toward God.

We hope that we will become members of our church who give thanks with all our hearts during this time.

Second, like Daniel, we must give thanks with all our will.

Daniel's thanksgiving is the right kind of thanksgiving.

According to Daniel 6:10,

“When Daniel knew that this decree had been signed, he went back to his house and looked at the window that was opened toward Jerusalem in that room and knelt three times a day in prayer and giving thanks to God, just as he had done before.”

Daniel made a decision to thank God three times a day and continued that will.

His thanksgiving did not change even when the test of being thrown into the lions' den approached.

Even now, God sees our gratitude for doing our will.

However, these days, people lose their gratitude to God due to the problem of temptation, the conditions of life and the environment.

However, if you are a believer, your gratitude should not change even in the face of these tests.

Example>>

There was a mother in the Jewish country who had never been taught.

However, he raised his children very well, and people asked him the secret.

Then he taught me three secrets.

(1) Be grateful for everything, big or small. All things are the grace of God.

(2) Do not get close to the person who complains. Then I become a disgruntled person.

(3) Be friendly with the person you are grateful for. Then I will be a grateful person.

What do you mean?

It is that gratitude builds character and opens a positive mind as well as God's blessings and interpersonal relationships.

Therefore, I want you to be grateful by deciding to be a person of gratitude for the rest of your life.

Third, like Barnabas, we must give thanks with all our character.

According to Acts 4:36-37,

“There was a Levite from Cyprus, whose name was Joseph, and the apostles called him Barnabas (or authority). He had a field, and he sold it and brought the money and put it at the apostles’ feet.”

Thank you, Barnabas, a very good man, but he did it according to his own character.

Paul was also beaten, chained and imprisoned, but he prayed and sang according to his own character.

And thank you.

Example>>

You are well aware of Wonjong Sugwon, who is famous as an authority in the field of cancer in the United States.

He grew up poor as a child, and he also had a lifelong wish.

It was to become a doctor and earn money so that I would buy a pair of underwear for my poor mother so that I would not be cold.

And it was my second wish to sit face to face with my mother and eat pork.

He studied well and graduated from Seoul National University.

And I got my first salary as an intern at Seoul National University Hospital.

I accepted it and went to buy my mother's underwear and meat, but I wanted to give it to my mother without opening the envelope.

"Mother! Let’s go eat bulgogi together.” Then the mother said.

“Jongsu! Let's believe in what we believe. Since we have lived by God's grace up to now, let's live by God's grace in the future. Don't compromise, let's live clean. Is this your first paycheck? It's the first fruit. It is of God. Let's give it to God"

Master Won Jong-su heard this and said.

"Mother! We only tithe and eat our bulgogi.”

Then he said, “No. This is the first fruit. It's not ours."

So, Kwon Jong-su Won had a Sunday worship service with his mother and gave his first salary to God.

And about a month has passed.

The dean called me and I won first place in the national competition for the medical examination, so I was given a prize money, which was twice the salary I gave to God.

I liked it because I thought I could eat bulgogi now.

But mother glorified God and said again.

“Jongsu! Have you ever won a prize?”

“It’s the first time.”

“Then this is the first fruit of the prize money. If you wait until Sunday, you may not pass the exam, so let's give it to you right away. Let's go to prayer together in the morning tomorrow."

This is the testimony of Kwon Jong-su Won, who was blessed by God who surprised the American medical community. It can be said that it is the result of doing the will of the mother with the utmost sincerity of faith.

If you have been zealous for worldly things, you must also work hard for God's work.

If you are faithful in worldly affairs, you must also be faithful in God's work.

We must serve God according to our own character.

In that case, God will bless you abundantly.

Fourth, like Solomon, we must give thanks with all our might.

This is 1 Kings 3:4.

“Then the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice, for there was a great high place, and Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on the altar.”

Solomon is king.

He offered burnt offerings in the high place of Gibeon, and he said that he offered a thousand burnt offerings.

According to Deuteronomy 16:10,

“Give a voluntary gift in measure of your strength, as the Lord your God has blessed you.”

is recorded.

So King Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings.

The people of Israel served God according to the law and according to their own strength.

The poor gave more flour and doves, the common people gave sheep, the rich gave cattle, and the very rich gave more to God.

So Solomon offered 1000 oxen to God.

It was a way of giving thanks to God.

The two lepton coins of the poor widow who live that day are equal to a life that needs to be starved for a day.

Therefore, it was small in the eyes of men, but great in the eyes of God.

So, please do the best you can in your circumstances.

Then it is a great thing in the sight of God.

Fifth, like Job, we must give thanks with all our lives.

If you want to name someone you are grateful for with all your life, you can choose Job.

All ten children of his possessions disappeared, and he suffered a terrible disease.

But Job confesses:

The words of Job 1:21,

"Naked I went out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there; the LORD gave and the LORD took away; blessed be the name of the LORD."

In a way, Job foolishly did not blame God.

But please remember that his folly was a life-giving gratitude.

Example>>

Do you know what is the difference between a prison and a monastery?

Life in a prison and a monastery is not much different.

But the difference between a prison and a monastery is the difference between complaining or giving thanks.

Rough eating, harsh sleeping, confined living, strict discipline, etc. The circumstances are similar, but the prison is full of complaints and the day passes with gratitude in the monastery.

The thanksgiving of the monastery can be said to be the gratitude of those who gave their lives for the Lord.

In the name of the Lord, I ask you to direct our lives of thanksgiving to the Lord for all our lives today.

At the end of the speech>>

Organize your words.

God loves us forever.

And Jesus gave in Him the grace to be eternally grateful.

When we believe in this love and grace and give thanks completely, He allows us to enjoy that grace.

If you truly believe in God's love and grace, I hope you will become believers who live a life of gratitude.

We pray in the name of the Lord that we all become saints who give glory to God by giving thanks to God with all our heart, mind, devotion, character, strength, and life.
