- Inspirational story to help preach
After the famous Emperor Napoleon took over Poland, I was invited to dinner by the rich lords of Poland. Napoleon and his servants went to the lord's house in the evening.
Many guests came to the lord's house. Among them, Napoleon was the first guest.
The prizes were set and seats were allocated. At that time, Napoleon was a victor in war wherever he went, so no matter what invitation he received, he took the first seat in the courtyard. Even in this house, Napoleon's seat, whose name is known to the world, must have been the first seat.
But the lord put Napoleon in the third seat.
And the rest of the guests were seated next.
Napoleon was offended.
But because of the face, I did not get angry and endured it.
Even as the dinner started, the first two seats were empty.
After the supper, Napoleon's servants protested and asked the lord. “Why did our emperor assign him the third seat even though he should sit in the first?” At that time, the lord replied, "The emperor may be the best in France, but in our house, the father, mother, and then the emperor was the emperor, so the first and second places were for parents. Please forgive me."
Hearing the words of the lord, Napoleon was deeply moved.
It is said that Napoleon, who returned to France, introduced the Polish lord, who was extremely filial to all the people, and appealed to all the people to filial piety to their parents. Children also want their parents to be higher than the king. Or at least you have to serve him as a king.
1. Just nod in obedience to Dad and Mom.
If I were a normal child, I would have hated my mother and hated it even if I died. But Samuel obeyed. I nodded my head. Very few children obey their parents. Children these days say that children are kings and adults are servants.
The mother pheasant always gave this caution to her young. Children, when you are looking for food on the ground, eat with your mouth, but open your ears and pay attention to whether you can hear my voice. While I am watching, if an animal appears to harm you, I will shout loudly. When you hear my voice, do not delay and fly up the tree. Don't go too far, you won't hear my voice. So, while the pheasant cubs looked for food not far from the mother, they fed with their mouths and their ears were wide open to hear the mother's voice.
But one of them spilled her mother's words into her ear. A young pheasant was eating delicious food, but lost his mind and went away from his brothers. While the pheasant chicks were feeding, a fox spotted them and approached them. When the mother pheasant saw that the cubs were in danger, the mother pheasants shouted, and the pheasants heard the mother's voice and, knowing that danger was approaching, quickly flew up the tree. However, the young pheasant, who was far away from the mother pheasant, could not hear the mother's voice to warn her of danger, so she was caught and eaten by the fox.
Although he is a pheasant, he was caught and eaten by a fox because he did not take his mother's words to heart.
2. Just nod in honor of Dad and Mom
Samuel honored his father and mother. The Ten Commandments also said to honor your parents. Respect means to be respectful and honorable. You can obey your parents only when you respect them like this. You have to be able to think of your parents as difficult at times to be able to obey them. Those who were filial in the Bible honored their parents. Joseph, Isaac, Jacob, Ruth, and David all obeyed because they respected their parents. I just nodded.
In the Ten Commandments, we are told to honor your recklessness. Respect means to treat your parents with courtesy. Don't be rude to your parents, be careful and tell them to act as if a servant would treat a king. The oldest people in the house are my father and mother. So, make your dad your king and your mom your queen. Even if Dad is in a low position at work, if he is treated like a king at home, it will be fun to come home early, and it will give him strength even if it is difficult.
Washington, the first president of the United States, loved boating. But the mother hated her son's boat ride. One day Washington packed up for a boat and said hello to his mother. My mother was crying sadly. Why is Washington so sad for her weeping mother? I'm not going to die. My mother said it was because I didn't want to break up with you. Washington listened to her mother and gave up sailing. Washington later became president because he saw his mother grieving and gave up his exclusivity. If I hadn't listened to my mother, I would have become an admiral of the navy, but I would not have been the president. So it is said that Washington respected and honored his mother even more.
There is a saying that women are weak, but mothers are strong. A mother, any mother, is strong and wonderful. So you have to respect it. The best parents in this world are those who gave birth to me and raised me. I hope that you will celebrate Mother's Day and become children who honor their parents.
3. Just Nod to Heavenly Father
Samuel said he worshiped God. Tell me to bow down and bow down. To bow down and bow down is to obey God. I will live by your words. It also means I will surrender. We have physical parents who gave birth to us, and we have spiritual parents who gave us birth. God is the spiritual Father who made us born again as God's people. You have to be filial to your parents who gave birth to you physically, and you have to be filial to God the Father, who gave you spiritual birth to receive blessings. To be filial to God the Father is to believe well in Jesus, the Son of Heavenly Father, to be diligent in the church life, and to live according to the Word of God. On this Father's Day, I hope you will become children who can be filial to Heavenly Father.
A decision to just nod
There are many people who put flowers on their chests and thorns on other days. All 365 days a year, on Mother's Day, we should put fragrant flowers on the hearts of fathers and mothers.
Jesus, I have never turned my head to Heavenly Father. You just nodded
I hope that they will imitate the filial piety of Jesus and that they will prosper and live long on earth (Ephesians 6:3).
