Sermons for Preaching

Title I'm sorry

Contents Luke 18 says that those who preceded him rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he cried out all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me (Luke 18:39).

Dear saint! God knows all our circumstances and conditions. However, He makes us pray, and in answer to prayer, He saves us from tribulation and adversity.

First, the prophecy of the Passion (Luke 18:31 34).

As he approaches Jerusalem, Jesus prophesies of his Passion once more. It is the third as a direct reference and the seventh if you include indirect things. This notice is more specific than the previous notice. The Passion of Jesus was to fulfill all the prophecies of the Old Testament prophets. The prophecies of the Passion of Jesus are scattered and hidden throughout from Genesis to Malachi. Therefore, the Jews did not realize about the suffering Messiah. Even the disciples, who had been foretold of the Passion over and over again, did not understand the word because it was hidden. Jesus explains his sufferings by believing that one day he will understand. He was delivered into the hands of the Gentiles and suffered shame, suffering, and death, but He rose from the dead on the third day. Jesus felt that his fateful hour was approaching, and he spoke to his disciples, but no one understood. How would you feel if you were tormented by a heavy burden alone and no one noticed it?

Second, healing the blind man (Luke 18:35-43).

A blind man lived in Jericho. He must have had a hard life because he was blind and had to live by begging by the roadside. A great opportunity has come to him. As Jesus and his companions passed in front of him, he cried out for help. When he calls Jesus the Son of David, he acknowledges that Jesus is the Messiah who came from David's descendant. He pleaded for mercy on himself with the confession that he believed that the prophecy (Isaiah 35:5) that the Messiah would come and would open the eyes of the blind would come true through Jesus. Even when people scolded me to be quiet, I screamed louder. The prayer of faith overcomes obstacles. Do you also live a life of receiving answers through persistent prayer that overcomes obstacles?

Dear saint! If a blind man had stopped crying that people were rebuking him, he would have been blind for the rest of his life. Let's pray persistently until it is answered.

Our Lord Jesus Christ! Please be patient and endure until the end.
