title; I, space, and temporal missions (Acts 1:6-11)
Mission is to follow the commandments like the will of the Lord. It is the unwavering will of God, the Sovereign of history, toward the world, and it is the work of God that Jesus, his only begotten Son, appeals to through the death of water and blood on the cross. The mission is to save all peoples from pride, from debauchery, from the lusts of the flesh, from sin against the law, from the powers of darkness, from labor and burdens, from pain and curses, and from eternal death. Also, it is to make God's children and to give him the kingdom of heaven, to restore his mission and inheritance, and to enjoy the glory with God from now to eternity. How can we carry out this absolute command?
1. It is a matter of ‘me’.
First of all, it's my problem. Missions may or may not start from what kind of being ‘I’ is.
As He said, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). If he is held in his hand, if he is seized by Jesus, who has all authority in heaven and on earth, he will be used in God's unlimited life.
Paul was like that. Paul went to Europe and conquered Greece, the city of philosophy that moves the foundation of the world's spiritual world. He also conquered Rome, where he wielded global political power. The world was empty. It is not that Paul had any other weapon. It was only filled with the Holy Spirit.
So did Peter. He denied Jesus three times in front of the maidservant in order to save his physical life. After he was filled with the Holy Spirit, even when the authorities persecute him and threaten him with death, he did not shrink at all. He took the lead in conquering Judea, Asia, and Europe with the gospel.
So did Martin Luther and Calvin. When the Catholic Church became religiously corrupt and turned away from the truth, when religious authority ruled the world, they raised the banner of the Reformation high and triumphed in the truth.
it is everywhere In the path of a person denying himself, taking up his cross, and following the Lord, no matter what enemies, problems, or challenges in this world, he will conquer them with the power and authority of God.
Many missionaries, evangelists, pastors, and saints were like that. Without a name and without light, he was bold in his faith in the omnipotent and omnipotent God. He did not give in to the world. Rather, he was faithful to the work of saving the world that was injustice and corrupted, and thus cursed and condemned to death. He always believed that God would give him victory.
It was the same with the young boy David. When the Philistine Goliath was blaspheming the Lord God and the chosen Israel while his brothers went on an errand, and when the faithless kings and generals of Israel were trembling, Daout defeated Goliath in the name of Jehovah God and led Israel to victory.
The existence of one “me” is important. what kind of being am i Is it really a person of the Holy Spirit whom God can freely use? Yes, you have to be a person of the Holy Spirit. No need to intervene. is only Desire to become a man of the Holy Spirit! Repent of all your sins and obey the Word! Pray every day without ceasing! If you do, you will become a man of the Holy Spirit and will be used for missionary work.
2. You will be a spatial missionary.
Those who are possessed by the Holy Spirit, who is God, become a person of Jesus Christ, who is the head of the church over all, and become a being over all.
The second required missionary command for these people is spatial mission. The man of the Holy Spirit will be a witness of Jesus in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
Because the power and will of the Holy Spirit are the will and power of God. Do not limit the infinity of God by the limits of man!
Don't stay at your level because you don't believe in God who is in you!
When a person leaves God, it means that the scale of his life has been greatly reduced and limited.
At what scale are you designing your life right now? Don't think that missions is something special that is far from the life of ordinary people!
Mission is inseparable from our life, and our salvation, the fact that we have been saved from death and become God's children, is the fruit of God's mission.
Without the history of missions, we are still children of darkness and we would not have been able to recover the essence of life.
As we exist today through missionaries who gave their lives to preach the gospel in a dry wilderness and a dangerous area teeming with persecution, those who are bound by spatial limitations, view missions negatively, or treat them passively, can see the path through which they were saved. How can I explain it!
Mission is God's work. God transcends space. People of the Holy Spirit are people who are immersed in a spirit that transcends space.
In the space where the church must preach the gospel, there is not only the problem of distance, but there are also cultural barriers created by the space, and there are also various environmental conditions and problems that cannot be feared unless you have faith in God.
Therefore, a church that is not limited in space and has to fulfill its mission must be completely held in the hands of God who transcends space, which cannot be blocked by any spatial conditions.
Those who are caught up in the grace filled with the Holy Spirit of God will transcend all space. no matter how far it will go Cultures will also go elsewhere. I will go even where there is famine, tribulation, and persecution. I will also go to the valley of Achor. It will go even with the threat of death. God the Holy Spirit wants to lead us wherever we go.
Let go of all space restrictions! Boldly defeat any threat from the conditions of space! Go wherever the Lord leads!
3. Transcend time constraints!
Third, the barrier of mission is time constraint. If we do not persevere in faith, the existence of time can rob people of much fruit.
Abraham's faith and prayer are fulfilling the promise that today's saints will have as many descendants as the stars in the sky and the sand of the sea. A fruit that transcends time.
God's promise of salvation from the Garden of Eden was continued through the prophets, and all those promises have been fulfilled and brought to fruition through generations and time.
God's mission should not be limited by time. When our faith is limited by time, the history of missions cannot be passed on from generation to generation, and Christianity has disappeared in many countries today.
You have to control time. At all times, the work of missions must not cease until the day the Lord comes. This is the Lord's command.
However, people are not fulfilling their responsibility for the domination of time. There are many places where the passion for the gospel has cooled down because even the next generation or one generation failed to fulfill their responsibilities.
All time belongs to God. No era, no time, can escape the reign of God. The Lord has all authority in heaven and on earth until the end of the world and is with us and the church.
If Jesus, the Savior, who is light and life, is with you, how can there be any restrictions on missionary work! Nothing can stand in the way, nothing can prevent our beliefs from controlling time.
First of all, our faith and prayer must rule the time. In order for the work of mission to continue until the day of the Lord's coming, the Lord's authority must work and the prayer of faith must be continuous.
Also, for the domination of time, we of today must rule today's time and preach the gospel to all the earth. All creatures that exist in God's time must obey the Creator's command, and the church must faithfully preach the gospel that must be proclaimed in today's time.
And for the next generation, missions should be carried out in the growing generation for the domination of uninterrupted time, and people should be made capable of carrying out missionary missions. This is in crisis. The transmission of faith to the rising generation has not been sustained. It's a huge challenge. have to overcome
Close family and relatives await the gospel. Regions and neighborhoods want to be freed from sin. They want to be saved from the curse and death. The metropolitan area and the Korean people want to be saved from eternal punishment. The same is true of North Korean compatriots and Chinese people. All tribes are like that.
And people of all generations are asking us to have faith for salvation.
The Holy Spirit of God, who transcends space and time, is present and works in our hearts. If I stand right up as a man of the Holy Spirit, I will accomplish a great work of spatial and temporal missions. Hallelujah!
