Title If You Are Not Like a Child

Unless you are like a child (Mark 10:13-16)
In the country, May 5 is observed as Children's Day, and in churches the first Sunday in May is observed as Children's Day. I hope you will receive grace by looking at the lessons given through children in the text.
I. Children must also meet Jesus (13)
When Jesus was working on this earth, those who heard His words and tasted His power brought not only themselves but also children to Jesus. Because children are sinners, they are also the object of salvation. If even small children want to be saved, please bring them to the place of grace and worship.
Ⅱ.Children are models of the kingdom of God (14)
The disciples were loyal to Jesus, did not know the heart of Jesus, and were angry at the restraint of the children. Jesus expressed disappointment and wrath to the disciples who did not know the master's will and recklessly rebuked them. (Matthew 16:23)
Here, children are said to be the masters of the kingdom of God. This, of course, means that the character of a child is the character of a citizen of the kingdom rather than a literal meaning. The character of a child is expressed in many ways, but the most important will be chastity, humility, and trust (faith). These factors are the characteristics of a citizen of the kingdom of God. Parents brought their children in hopes of a simple blessing, but Jesus raised them up to the citizens of God's kingdom and blessed them.
little children are innocent So God was pleased and praised it as a symbol of heaven. God hides His will from those who claim to be wise, and reveals His pleasing will to humble children. Why did you show it to little children? It is because there is pure service. (Matthew 11:25~26) Jesus was well aware of the importance of children.
The great discovery of human history in the 20th century can be called a child. In other words, it is a change in the perception of children. It is the discovery of the right children's view However, early on, Jesus correctly evaluated the preciousness and worth of a child. However, it is important to keep in mind that children do not receive salvation and enter the kingdom of heaven just because they have no sin or because they are children, but because young children are superior to adults in accepting, trusting, and sharing the gospel of the kingdom. . In other words, where there are children, the movement for the gospel of the kingdom is strong. In other words, the kingdom of God, that is, the church, is revived.
Adults should be good at educating children about faith through the Word of God. There is nothing in the world that is important enough to take a break from the life of faith. The life of faith must be continuous. Because the life of faith depends on the spiritual life. There is no success apart from God. If you leave God and neglect your life of faith, your peace of mind will disappear. As a result, they become aggressive and overly competitive. When you are well nurtured by the Word, you become a person of wisdom. If you are not nurtured by the Word, you will become ignorant. The fear of God is the very foundation of wisdom.
The priest Eli could not raise his sons Hophni and Phinehas in faith, and the family met a tragic end. (1 Samuel 2:32~34) Do you want your children to be used preciously by God? Then, do well in your religious education so that you can serve God well. If God gives you wisdom, you can become a leader who rules the world. (Prov 2:6, 7 Pro 9:10, Pro 15:33)
Ⅲ.Children must also receive blessings from the Lord (16)
Jesus did much more than the parents asked (v. 13). Mo brought the child with the hope that Jesus would touch him, and he personally sat the child, placed his hands on his head, and blessed him. He blessed the little children who are models of God's kingdom to his heart's content. We too should always bless our children in the name of the Lord. Like Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, we are to bless our children at home. (Proverbs 22:6)
Today we have to think about the disciples who were rebuked by the Lord. Without coming to Jesus, being saved and born again, neither the outlook on life nor the worldview can change. Children must also come to the Lord. This is because the Lord is the only way to heaven, and they too must come before the Lord and be saved. You must be blessed and experience divine grace.
Saints! Like Jesus, let us have a right view of children and raise them up with faith so that we can be raised as God's people.
