Title/ If you want to bear good fruit
Text/ Matthew 13:18-23
The first thing a farmer does before sowing seeds is to "plow hardened soil and fertilize it".
(Luke 8:11) “This is the parable: the seed is the word of God.”
The seed is the word of God
(Luke 8:15) “To be in the good soil is to hear the word with an honest and good heart, keep it, and bear fruit with patience
is sleeping"
A good field speaks of a state of mind.
Depending on the condition of the ground, the seed may grow well or wither.
The victory or defeat of worship is determined by the state of the heart that hears the Word.
1, Those who heard the word of God, but were taken away by the evil one, verse 19 (by the wayside)
If your body is in the temple, but your mind is on the road, even if you hear the word of life from God, it will be taken away by Satan and will not bear fruit.
(Mark 4:15) “It is a matter that the word was sown by the wayside, that when he heard the word, immediately Satan came and
It takes away the word that has been sown in us.”
Satan's body
1) Ruler of the world of darkness (Ephesians 6:12)
2) The father of lies (John 8:44)
3) The genius of disguise (2 Corinthians 11:14)
(Rev 12:9) “The great dragon was cast out, the old serpent, which is also called the devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world.
And he grew up and was cast out to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
(1 Peter 5:8) “He who goes about seeking someone to devour”
Let our bodies and minds enter the temple of God, receive the Word, and record them in the heart and heart of the flesh (2 Corinthians 3:3).
2, Those who heard the word, but did not last long and fell down verses 20-21 (Stone field)
(Luke 8:6) “Some fell on a rock and was born, and dried up because there was no moisture.”
(Luke 8:13) "To be on a rock, when you hear the word, you receive it with joy, but it has no root and is a temporary faith.
And he who betrays when he is tempted."
They are happy and joyful when they hear the word, but they cannot change their hearts.
(Hebrews 12:15) “Look and see if there are any who do not come short of the grace of God.
Fear that it will take root and cause trouble, and that many will be defiled by it.
and"
When things like bitter roots inside me are removed, strong roots can be deeply rooted, so it can withstand any drought.
If we have to keep our faith with patience in the midst of tribulation and persecution, we will see the Lord at the end of the world.
3, Those who heard the word, but did not bear fruit because of their entanglements, verse 22 (Thorns)
Those who do not live their worship service properly because they are obsessed with worries about life in the world and greed for wealth cannot bear good fruit.
(Luke 10:38-41) “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things” (Search and read)
For the younger sister, Mary, the channel to hear the word was opened, and for the older sister, the channel to worry about the world was opened.
How can that gentle bud grow out of a thorn bush? Cut the entangled thorns and set them on fire.
In the end, the thorns must be removed through prayer and praise and burned with the fire of the Holy Spirit, so that the thorns cannot grow again.
Sow seeds on good soil! Verse 23
I hope that you will become a saint who listens to the Word with all your heart, strives to sustain it for a long time, and keeps the passage of blessings unobstructed so that whatever you plant sprouts, blossoms, and reaps fruit abundantly.
Those who live a good life of faith (Hebrews 12:1) “put off the heavy things that are easily entangled”
It's really important to have an undisturbed stance in the race.
Imagine a marathon runner running 42.195 km with his important things in his backpack. After a while, he will get tired and eventually give up as if he did not finish the set distance.
(James 5:7) “Therefore, brethren, be patient until the coming of the Lord.
I wait for the precious fruit, and wait patiently for the early and the latter rain.”
Good soil is not built overnight. Listening to the Word, making changes, and bearing good fruits is achieved through “perseverance”.
