Title: Illusion and Misunderstanding
text ; John 8:32
Everyone! Let me ask you one question.
It is said that if you go to the desert, you will often see a mirage. Take that mirage with a camera
Will it appear when I develop it, or will it not appear?
Of course, the mirage is an illusion, not a reality. Therefore, many people think that it will not appear on the camera. But the mirage also appears on the camera.
This is because cameras, like our human eyes, misunderstand the illusion of reality.
If you misunderstand that the mirage is real and chase after it, you will get lost and wander, resulting in bad results.
In this way, as we live in this world, sometimes we see, hear, misunderstand, and judge wrongly, causing great losses not only financially but also spiritually and in many ways.
In other words, misunderstandings lead to misunderstandings, and when misunderstandings deepen, wrong actions follow.
Korea has long been a major source of livelihood, so it has been very attentive to the change of seasons.
. So, the year was divided into 24 solar terms for observation.
However, these days, there are many ideal climates, so these 24 solar terms are often wrong. In particular, there is a season called 'Gyeongchip', which is one of the two seasons. It is a season when animals that hibernate in the ground in winter wake up and come out as the weather gets warmer.
However, as the warm climate continues to ideally approach, animals that have been hibernating often realize that spring is approaching and stop thinking about it, so they come out early and then freeze to death when the weather suddenly turns cold.
Especially these days, it is the end of the last days, a time of chaos that is very easy to misunderstand and misunderstand not only environmentally but also spiritually.
Therefore, many people unintentionally cause misunderstandings and misunderstandings, and suffer as a result.
In particular, if the object of misunderstanding and misunderstanding is not an object, it can lead to a truly tragic result in which people who should love each other hate each other, and people who should help each other destroy and kill each other.
Therefore, we should not follow the illusions and lies that change according to the times or circumstances, but look straight ahead, listen straightly, judge straightly, and act on the basis of the eternal reality and eternal truth of God's Word, so that our lives can lead to failures and regrets. I wish you success and joy.
Everyone! It would not be an exaggeration to say that the tragedy of mankind started from misunderstandings and misunderstandings. Clearly, God spoke to Adam. "You shall not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for in the day you eat of it you will surely die" (Genesis 2:17).
But Satan comes to Eve and whispers.
"Hey, why die to death? You will never die. In the day that you eat of it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God" (Genesis 3:4-5).
In this way, Satan's words are clearly false, and despite the fact that God's words are truth, Eve falls into Satan's delusions and makes mistakes and misunderstandings.
Moreover, she thinks to herself, "When Eve saw the tree, that it was good for food, and that it was pleasing to the eye, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise" (Genesis 3:6). "No, if you eat such a good-looking fruit, you will die. That statement is probably a lie."
In the end, Eve heard the wrong thing, saw it wrong, and made a wrong judgment, so she ate of the forbidden fruit. In the end, she not only died, but also her husband and children, leaving the greatest tragedy for mankind.
Also see the first murder of mankind. Adam and Eve had two sons, Cain and Abel. Abel, the younger brother, sacrificed a lamb, a symbol of Jesus Christ, to God, and Cain, the brother, offered sacrifices to God with the produce of the earth, a symbol of humanism.
Then God accepted his brother Abel and his sacrifice, but did not accept Cain and his sacrifice. Then Cain became angry and his complexion changed.
Because that's what he thought.
"No, why doesn't God accept the sacrifices I brought with my sweat and hard work? Clearly, God hates me! And God only favors my younger brother!
Let's see where we can put it when we can't get God's love like this and lose face as an older brother!"
And Cain commits a horrific murder by stoning his brother Abel to death. Why did this great family misfortune happen? It was none other than Cain's misunderstanding.
God did not accept his offering, not because he hated him, but because his method was wrong.
But Cain misunderstood that God hates him. And that misunderstanding develops into envy, jealousy, and hatred towards his younger brother, and eventually leads to the disastrous result of killing the younger brother he should love.
And when Cain stoned his younger brother Abel to death, happiness did not come to him, and he did not regain his face as an older brother, but rather fell in anxiety and fear.
In other words, misunderstandings and misunderstandings are a tragedy for others as well as a tragedy for oneself. Therefore, we must know the truth right away so that we do not fall into misunderstandings and misunderstandings in order to escape from pain and sorrow.
However, I see sad cases where many people do not pursue reality and truth, but pursue illusions and lies. In particular, there are many cases of self-inflicted suffering because they do not look at God centeredly based on God's Word and judge everything with a self-centered perspective and thoughts.
Look at Judas Iscariot. He thought of Jesus as the only worldly and political Messiah. So he misunderstood that Jesus would give him great honor in this world in the future.
And because he was in charge of the money box, when Jesus came to power, he appointed himself as the finance minister, and he had the illusion that he could control money as much as he wanted with honor.
But looking at Jesus closely, he has absolutely no political ambitions.
No obsession with money. He thought only of the kingdom of heaven and worked only for the kingdom of heaven.
In addition, when Jesus prophesied to his disciples that he would be crucified and die, Judas Iscariot thought.
"Hey, I've been following Jesus, so it's completely wrong for my dream to come true!"
In other words, when he realized that Jesus was not suitable for fulfilling his political dreams, he began to hate Jesus.
And he began to regret following him for three and a half years as a disciple of Jesus. He began to hate Jesus for taking away his youth and dreams. Taking advantage of that hatred, Satan entered Judas Iscariot, and finally Judas Iscariot committed a betrayal of selling Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.
Then, he felt remorse, but he did not receive the spirit of repentance from God, so he eventually chose the path of suicide, the path of hell. What started as a small misunderstanding and misunderstanding eventually led to a major tragedy.
If Judas Iscariot had realized his misunderstandings and misunderstandings a little sooner, and had abandoned his misunderstandings and misunderstandings a little sooner, he would not have been the protagonist of the tragedy.
Not only Judas Iscariot, but also Peter, who is said to be the chief disciple of Jesus, once made a mistake and misunderstanding. He, too, once thought of Jesus as the political Messiah.
So, when Jesus prophesied that he would suffer and be put to death, Peter grabbed Jesus and said, "Lord, not so. This will never happen to you" (Matthew 16:22).
Of course, this means that because Peter loves Jesus, he must not do any harm to Jesus. But on the other hand, the meaning of this word is, "No, what will happen to me if Jesus dies now? Isn't it all in vain that you have followed Jesus? So, why don't you use political means to give me something?" This is the word it contains.
Then out of nowhere the Lord cried out to Peter. 'Get behind me, Satan. you are the one who makes me fall You do not think about the things of God, but rather the things of men??(Matthew 16:23).
And then the Lord said to his disciples: ?쏧f any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me??(Matthew 16:24).
When Peter heard the rebuke of Jesus, he realized at least faintly. "Aha, I misunderstood! Following Jesus is not the worldly way to gain worldly things!"
After he cast away his wrong thoughts and misunderstandings based on the words of Jesus, Satan eventually left him and he was able to follow the path of a disciple that Jesus was pleased with.
If he did not realize his misunderstanding until the end, he said, "No, Lord, what are you talking about so harshly? A little while ago, he said to me, "Blessed are you, Simon Barjona!" And now he says to me, 'Go away, Satan!' If he had taken an attitude like, ?쏧?셫 sorry!?? through misunderstanding, Satan might have caused a hatred for Jesus in Peter?셲 heart, and if he made a mistake, he might have walked the same path as Judas Iscariot. .
Everyone! When people in this world are close together, sometimes there may be misunderstandings and misunderstandings. Moreover, when a man and a woman live under the same roof, it may be natural for misunderstandings and misunderstandings to arise from time to time.
In this case, turn to the Word of God to overcome the misunderstanding. And based on the word of truth, throw away the hatred and hatred derived from misunderstandings and misunderstandings.
Misunderstandings and misunderstandings are certainly not very serious sins. Anyone can commit. However, if those illusions and misunderstandings cannot be resolved immediately based on the truth and are kept, eventually the small delusions and misunderstandings will kill themselves, destroy the family, and if the family is destroyed, the nation will be destroyed and the kingdom of heaven will be destroyed.
Therefore, by realizing and knowing the truth right away, I pray that you will overcome all sorrow and pain resulting from misunderstandings and misunderstandings and enjoy the happiness and freedom that God has given you to your heart's content. Amen!
