Text 1 Samuel 1:1-11, 2:27-34

When God created man, he created it in the image of God (Imago Dei).

Pastor Wesley, the founder of Methodism, said three things about the image of God based on Genesis 1:27.

①Teh natural Imago of God

②Political

③The moral image of God.

Among them, the natural form has wisdom, justice, and justice. G.J.D.E. is the three elements that make up a person's personality. Among them, affection means emotion, or recognition, and is very important in life. That is why humans are called animals of justice and animals of emotion.

My heart is moved and moved by happy and good things. Sad and painful things make me sad and upset. Even worse, they become outraged when they are resentful and horrified, for example betrayed. All of this because there are emotions. That is why I am overwhelmed by happy emotions, and I am angry and upset by unfair things.

If we look at history, we are touched by people who have lived their lives great. For example, people who sacrificed their lives to protect the country move us. A person who is filial to their parents even in difficult circumstances impresses them. We are moved when we see a person who studied well and became a social leader in a poor environment, once again leading a devoted life for others. In this way, people who live for others rather than themselves impress us. In general, those who have overcome difficulties, those who have succeeded, and those who have overcome them give us a deep impression.

I am so moved by how unimpressed I am these days, and I am moved by the puppies who wag their tails when I return home, and I pamper them. Take a bath once a day, take a hairdresser to get a haircut, coat, apply nail polish, wear accessories that cost tens of thousands of won to tens of thousands of won, and eat more luxurious food than humans. It's strange why you don't want to impress God the Creator while raising a dog at a cost of tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of won, or even a million won.

Even if your child is good at studying, are you impressed with “Ah~U my baby”? don't you? im not impressed And how can you not think of moving God?

If you only inspire God

Like David, it will be pleasing to God,

You will enjoy wealth and glory like Solomon,

Like Daniel, God will protect you,

How can you neglect to impress God?

I don't know if I've been busy doing things that move people and move the world.

In today's text, we can summarize the story of Hannah being moved by God to be blessed, and the son of the priest Eli, who stirred up God and cursed. That's why today's sermon is titled Impression and Upheaval.

How does Hannah impress God? He was not a dignitary, not a man of a wealthy family, but an ordinary housewife. It was also a man who lived in the hill country of Ephraim, at the foot of the mountain. Those who lived at the foot of the mountain were usually poor people. However, she was not a comfortable woman. Because she had no children, her husband had an additional wife and had children from him, adding to the sadness of her husband. Rather, he is a man who complains to God, impresses his husband, laments his condition, and is resilient even though he lives reluctantly.

First, in verse 10, “Hannah was troubled and prayed to God.”

Hannah did not provoke God with her complaints and complaints and was cursed, but rather moved God by praying. So God has Samuel. Who is Samuel? He was a man who anointed Saul and David to become kings of the nation of Israel when he grew up and opened the dynasty of Israel. God and Israel became a great figure who acts as a bridge.

Second, he moved God by fulfilling his vows.

Verse 11 says, “Hannah made a vow, saying, …Give me a son, and I will offer it to God.”

People are usually different from the beginning.

But God is unchanging, and there is no rotating shadow.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

He is the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last.

Our promises with God must not change.

Therefore, even if it harms her, she must pay her vows. (Ecclesiastes 5:4) Hannah kept her promise. How did you get a son? He must have been the son he wanted to brag about in front of his concubine and in front of people. But Hannah dedicates Samuel to God. That is why God is moved. God, moved by Hannah, had three more sons and two daughters that Hannah did not ask for. four
