▒▒▒ Bible : Proverbs 4:20-23
It's not easy to keep your heart. The heart that started with prayer at the morning prayer time soon turns into irritation and anger on the road in the morning. Today, I vowed to treat everyone kindly, and the moment my foot stepped on the subway, I got angry and fired at it. Our hearts change like this without knowing when our good heart is stolen and our wrong heart is occupying our hearts. The book of Romans says, “Those who are after the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, and those who are after the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace” (Romans 8:5-6).
How to make a good interior decoration. First, you must be born again. In the Gospel of John, Jesus tells Nicodemus, who came to Jesus with a question about eternal life, that unless he is born again of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. Regeneration is possible through Jesus Christ. Our sins can be washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ. The thoughts of the flesh can be overcome with the thoughts of the Holy Spirit. By accepting Jesus Christ, our sins are washed away, and the Holy Spirit cultivates the field of our hearts. And when order is established, the fruit of the Holy Spirit will be produced.
Those who strive for a godly life are those who live a life of worship. The first step to godliness is worship. In Acts 10 we see the centurion Cornelius. He was a Gentile. Nevertheless, he was reverent and lived a life of fearing God with all his family, praying to God, and giving alms to his neighbors. Worship is an act of exalting God as Father. Because of the High One, we can live while looking up to Him. He is the mirror that reflects our lives. By reflecting ourselves in that mirror, we can refine our appearance.
Lastly, those who strive to lead a godly life are those who have Jesus as their Lord. Even when we look at the house we live in, the appearance of the house changes depending on who the owner of the house is. Also, depending on how you take care of the house, the inside and outside of the house will be different. So is the mind. Our hearts change depending on who controls our hearts and how we take care of them. Jesus entered the region of Gerasea. And he meets a man possessed by a military demon. He was a man who used to stand in the midst of the tombs, tearing himself up and screaming. A demon was controlling him, so he appeared in his form. Jesus approaches the man possessed by the army's demons. And “Go away, ghost.” As he spoke, the demon came out of his body. He has changed. I put on my clothes, shaved my hair, and listened to the word next to Jesus. Now the owner has changed. Jesus became the master of his life. Our lives depend on who owns our lives. When we live with Jesus Christ as our Lord, Jesus Christ is revealed through us.
Folks, the world we live in is complex and many things tempt us. Therefore, it is difficult to keep our hearts. But God has given us the Holy Spirit as a gift. Through the Holy Spirit, our hearts can be gradually changed and turned into good soil. Above all, I hope that you entrust your heart to Jesus, who is the gardener of your heart. Then, from the mind of the flesh to the mind of the spirit, we will be able to become mature believers with the form of godliness and the power of godliness.
