Title Investing for Tomorrow / Luke 16:19-26

A rich man and a beggar named Lazarus are the protagonists of today's story.

It is said that Lazarus the beggar was lying near the gate of the rich man's house. But looking at the original language, Lazarus was lying down.

It's not, it's "I was blown away." Every day at the rich man's house there was a feast, so he led the sick body out of that house.

I was looking around to see if I could get something to eat, but each time I was thrown out and scattered outside the gate. flat

The poor man is Lazarus, and the happy man is the rich man.

But Jesus emphasizes that the rich are the poor.

The first reason is that the beggar has a "name" of Lazarus. Rich people have no names. There must have been a name,

It is not known. This rich man spent a lot of money on himself for a luxurious life, but for the sake of others.

I haven't written anything.

However, as a result, the rich man himself did not become important to others. and more importantly

It is a fact that Jesus does not regard that person as important.

When one person becomes unimportant to others, a name is not needed.

"Who is that person? Oh, that rich man?" Then it will be. So without a name because of a beggar with a name

The rich man who appears is a sharper contrast in this story.

Now these two are dead.

People say that death is the only equal and fair thing in this world because it comes to everyone without distinction. yes

Today's story tells us that death will bring about the greatest discrimination and inequality.

It happened after death that the fortunes of the rich and the poor were completely reversed.

The rich man died and went to a frightening and terrifying place, and the beggar went to a beautiful country. That is, the rich did not have

The second treasure Lazarus had was the kingdom of heaven.

in the story of jesus

It is emphasized that this rich man could actively do good, but he did not. awards for doing good

He just stood by in front of Hwang, and that became a fatal sin.

The rich didn't have to go out on the streets to do good, nor did they need advice from people. because right now

Because Lazarus had been thrown at the gate of his house. It is because of this Lazarus that the rich man is surely a bad man.

that is clearly evident. If a rich man lives in Yeongdeungpo-gu and Lazarus lives far away in Seongbuk-gu,

The matter might be different if he had, but Lazarus was lying at the gate of the rich man's house,

The rich have been proven to be "bad people".

I have a work to serve and to serve before me. The things I can do are laid out where I can see them with my eyes closed

there is a problem with The rich man thought that Lazarus had nothing to do with me, so he felt so at ease.

He didn't care at all, even though he was starving at the doorstep.

Today, like this rich man, I'm comfortable saying, "Oh, that has nothing to do with me," and I don't care at all.

is not there?

Surprisingly, whether or not I'm a bad person proves without question because of the little things I didn't care and took lightly.

it will become

May we all be servants of God who live as beautiful workers whose name is known and remembered by Jesus today.

I pray earnestly.
