Title Is Forgiveness of Sins Salvation?

Contents

The forgiveness of sins is God's grace through the blood of Christ, which is not only given to anyone, but equally to all people under the world. That is, it is the same as the words of the testimony, “He is the propitiation for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for the sins of the whole world” (1 John 2:2).

The blood of Christ Jesus is different from the blood of the beast that atones sin year after year. The blood of Christ is the blood of the Son of God who atoned for all sins in the world, including Gentiles, at once.

Regarding this, the Bible says, “Because the law is a shadow of the good things to come and is not the true image, it is impossible to make those who come to it at any time with the same sacrifices that are offered year after year. How could he not have ceased to offer, when he had not come to understand it? But these sacrifices are a reminder of sin year after year, for the blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sin. Therefore, when he came into the world, he said, You did not want an offering, but you prepared a body for me. You take no pleasure in burnt offerings and sin offerings as a whole. Then I said, “Look, God, I have come to do your will, as it is written about me in the scroll.” ....” (Hebrews 10:1-7).

Therefore, the sacrifice of the body that was prepared for Christ is the sacrifice of eternal redemption, and there is no more sacrifice for sin. It is written, “And their sins and their iniquities I will remember no more. Since these have been forgiven, there is no more offering for sins” (Hebrews 10:17-18).

The eternal atonement is the righteousness of God revealed in the gospel. Whoever believes in this righteousness of God, who believes in Christ Jesus, is justified by God. Justification is the confirmation of the forgiveness of sins, not salvation.

For this reason, the Bible testifies that forgiveness of sins is not salvation, but redemption. It is written, "In Christ we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace..." (Ephesians 1:7), and again, "in the Son we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins has been obtained” (Colossians 1:14).

In the words of the above evidence, “we” means us who belong to all peoples under the world. However, when God completed the eternal atonement with His Son's blood, no one in the world knew this. The wisdom of eternal redemption through the blood of Christ, hidden in the prophecies of the prophets, was a mystery of God that no one could know.

It is written, “I speak of the wisdom of God that is in mystery, which has been hidden, which God foreordained for our glory, before the ages, and not one of the rulers of this generation knew this wisdom. They would not have crucified the Lord” (1 Corinthians 2:7-8).

If man had known this wisdom beforehand, he would not have crucified the Son of God, and if he had done so, eternal atonement would not have been possible. God and his Son our Lord Jesus, who did not make this wisdom known to men, and accomplished it all in secret, truly deserve praise forever.

The eternal Atonement is redemption from sin, not salvation. Because the atonement is like the seed and salvation is like the fruit. The seed is sowed and the fruit is harvested. When a person is born again, it means that he has received the incorruptible seed, which is Christ. The harvesting of seeds does not mean the end of farming. When a seed is planted and a seed-like fruit is obtained, the farming work is over and there is a rest in which to rest in peace.

Therefore, it is written, “For you were born again, not of perishable seed, but of immortal seed, by the living and abiding word of God” (1 Peter 1:23). will be

If you have a seed, you must plant this seed and bear the same fruit as the seed to achieve eternal salvation. Therefore, the Bible again testifies, “But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, you have obtained the fruit that leads to holiness, and the end is eternal life” (Romans 6:22).

The seed was obtained freely through faith in the grace of God, and the bearing of fruit is achieved through faith in the full grace of Christ. Therefore, Sunjin, who received seed by grace and bore fruit by grace, said, “... it is by the grace of God that I am what I am, and his grace that was given to me was not in vain. By the grace of God” (1 Corinthians 15:10).

Therefore, I hope that the seeds of forgiveness of sins obtained through faith will not be in vain. You cannot live forever by eating only seeds. The seed is redemption and the fruit is salvation. The saying that we are saved by only seeds is the teaching of the devil. It is the same as the words of the evidence, as it is written, "...the Holy Spirit plainly says that in the latter days some will turn from the faith and turn to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons..." (1 Timothy 4:1). .

Regarding this, the Bible says, “They eat together with you without fear; they are the reefs of your love feasts, shepherds who feed themselves, a cloud without water blown away by the wind, and an autumn tree that dies and dies and is uprooted by its roots” (Jude 1:12). is proving that. But in those to whom the Spirit of the Lord is called, He will sow the seed of the forgiveness of sins in Christ, bringing forth the fruit of holiness. Amen, thank you Lord.
