Isaiah 6:1~13 Send Me Topic: 44. Mission 2008. 4. 20.

Introduction

: Through the experience of the text, Isaiah shows ① the great sin of the people of Judah ② God’s sure confirmation of his message.

In the end, his experience became the basis for faithfully proclaiming the message as he received “the vision of the heavenly throne and the newly confirmed calling of Isaiah.”

1. Seeing the vision of the heavenly throne (1-5)

2. Uncleanness is cleansed and sins are forgiven (6-7)

3. New calling and confirmation of mission (8~13)

1. Seeing the vision of the heavenly throne (1-5)

The vision that Isaiah experienced was “of the Lord who is seated on a throne that is exalted and exalted”.

“Illusion” is not something that people want or make efforts to see, but only when God shows it.

In the Bible, the person who sees a vision is not a person in a trance of losing his mind, but seeing a vision in a state of complete character and spirit, but in a state of being strongly gripped by the inspiration of God.

One). A vision in the year of the death of King Uzziah (1)

That period marked a major turning point in history as “the year of the death of King Uzziah” (739 B.C.).

① The death of King Uzziah, who ruled Judah for 52 years, marked the end of a long period of stability and prosperity.

② Israel and Judah began to be threatened by the strong westward policy of Assyria in the north.

③ The prosperous Judah became more corrupt and corrupt, so judgment was to be made.

2). Fantasy Scenes (1-4)

The vision Isaiah saw was the appearance of the Lord and the seraph.

① The image of the Lord (1) I saw the “Lord, who sat on a high and exalted throne” and the hem of his robe that filled the temple. (A glorious view of the heavenly temple)

* “Lord” is “Jesus Christ” (John 12:41). (John also saw it. Rev 1:9~19)

② The seraphs (2~3) are personal and spiritual beings who have God.

* If “cherub” is God’s bodyguard (Ezekiel 1:4-25), then the seraph are servants.

There are three types of Seraphs.

① It has 6 wings.

* The cherub has 4 wings (Ezekiel 1:5-6), and the seraph has 6 wings.

② Of the six wings, two covered their face, two covered their feet, and two flew.

* Covering one's face did not allow us to see God's glory directly; covering one's feet was a sign of purity and humility.

He was always ready to be commanded and obeyed.

③ They were talking to each other.

* The seraphs are divided into two groups, and both sides of God praise each other in response to one another.

* The point of the praise was the holiness and glory of God, who filled the whole earth.

The phenomenon that the foundation of the threshold shakes and the temple is filled with smoke is a real phenomenon.

* Filling with smoke is a common phenomenon in God's presence. (Ex 19:18, 40:34, 1 Kings 8:10, Revelation 15:8)

3). Realizing that reaction to vision is a sin (5)

“Woe to me, I am destroyed.” He first realized his uncleanness (being a sinner). This fact is concretely, "Woe to me, I am destroyed.... (4) I have seen the King, the LORD of hosts."

2. Uncleanness is cleansed and sins are forgiven (6-7)

God grants the sacrament of forgiveness of sins to Isaiah (5), who confessed that he was a sinner.

1) The charred charcoal (     ritspa) was taken from the altar in front of the throne of God.

* The altar is a place where animals are sacrificed to God for the forgiveness of sins.

* The burnt sacrifice on this altar points to Jesus Christ who died on the cross.

From the fact that the charcoal is used to forgive sins, it can be seen that the blood of Jesus Christ, who died as a sacrifice, cleanses all sins. (Matthew 26:28, Romans 5:9, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 9:7, 1 Peter 1:19,

2). The word is      sapa.

Considering the fact that all thoughts and actions of a person are expressed in words, sin of the mouth means all sins.

* To purify the lips is the remission of all sins (Proverbs 10:19, Matthew 15:18, Luke 6:45, James 1:26, 3:2).

3. Received a new calling and confirmed the mission (8-13)

Isaiah receives the mission by hearing God's call and responding to it. (1:1 confirmation)

By experiencing the presence of God in a vision and being cleansed as a missionary, as an advocate of God

It was time to reconfirm the content of their mission and message.

One). The Lord is looking for a missionary (8)

“Whom shall I send and who will go for us?” It is the voice of the Lord looking for the missionary.

“Our” refers to the Triune God, and the Triune God discussed the issue of finding a missionary.

The original text of “Here I am, send me” is made up of two words, expressing the heart of absolute obedience and devotion.

imply

2). The Lord gave the mission to the missionary (9-10)

He commissioned Isaiah as God's spokesperson by saying, “Go and speak.”

“Hearing, hearing, but not understanding; seeing, seeing, but not understanding. Although Isaiah preached the word of the Lord, it was thoroughly

means to be ostracized.

How great is Isaiah's cry of God's judgment and calamity to the people who will not repent and will not be healed?

I had to be prepared for it to be difficult and painful.

3). The Lord's fellowship with the missionary (11-13)

The Lord takes great interest in the missionary and has fellowship with him.

* This fellowship is revealed to the missionary by revealing the revelation of heaven, the secret of salvation.

“How long, Lord?” Isaiah asks about the period of judgment.

The Lord's plan is twofold.

① Judgment will continue until exhaustive and devastating. (11-13)

* Cities are desolate and have no inhabitants, houses are without people, the land is desolate, and people are moved away from the land.

Until it is destroyed, 1/10 of them will also die from catastrophes such as slaughter or epidemics.

② However, everything does not end through judgment.

* Because the work of salvation will continue through the “remnant,” that is, the “holy seed.”(13)

“Stump” means “holy seed” and “seed” means life and salvation.

Eventually, many fruits of life and salvation will be produced through the Lord to form a new spiritual Israel.

(Matthew 16:18, Ephesians 2:20-22, 4:16)
