Title J's happiness (2) mourning / Matthew 5:4

Content Koreans look down on people with a sad look and feel pity for them. Even when young people see each other to get married, if they see a person like that, marriage does not happen. But Jesus said, "Blessed are those who mourn." He spoke of a completely different standard of blessing. what blessings It is "a blessing of consolation." The happiness of those who mourn lies in being comforted.

In the face of sadness, neither gold nor success in life have much benefit. However, except for being comforted, the Hundred Medicine is invalid.

During World War II, U.S. forces were driven by Japanese forces and pushed to the South Pacific. Thousands of young Americans have died or been injured and become handicapped. The U.S. government organized the military corps and sent them to the field of war. They also sent comedians and beautiful singers. But it is said that the song their soldiers most wanted to hear was B.Crosby's "Lolly".

People on the battlefield are all sad people. Because of the fear of death, because of the pain caused by an injury, because of the pain of hunger, because of the pain caused by the internal conflict of having to kill each other, they are all suffering, sick, and sad. If there is one word or the most precious gift that these soldiers should have, they are words of "comfort" and "to be comforted".

In 1978, Pope John Paul I died. He died only 33 days after taking office. In the process of preparing for the funeral, the diary left by the Pope just before his death was revealed.

“Rich, remember the poor. Workers, remember the unemployed. Healthy people, remember the sick.”

When this diary was published, the first reaction occurred in the Nobel Peace Prize committee. The 1979 Nobel Peace Prize was decided to be awarded to Mother Teresa, who devoted her life to the slums of India. Originally, this award was intended to be given to President Carter of the United States, who made a great contribution to resolving the Middle East problem at the time. However, a nameless nun was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, the honor of mankind.

“Blessed are those who mourn for others.” A single diary entry changed the nature and direction of the Nobel Peace Prize. How much would the Pope have contributed to humanity during his only 33-day term? However, even when he died, he gave “Theresa, his co-worker and disciple, who mourns and mourns for others,” so much comfort and crown. This is the true meaning of Jesus' theory of happiness.

The poet Do Jong-hwan prayed like this:

“I pray now because of my pain.

But please don't pray only with my pain.

I pray now with my despair.

But don't pray only through my despair.

Now I pray with tears in my eyes.

But let me be a person who truly weeps for others.

I now pray for my sins and transgressions.

But do not pray again for sins and transgressions.

I now pray for peace of mind.

But let me pray for the peace of my neighbour."

This is the story of the writer Beom-seon Lee's essay The Widow deceived

The Baek Seon Haeng Memorial Hall stands on the banks of the Taedong River in Pyongyang. This building is said to have been built by Mr. Baek Seon-haeng, a long-term bean sprout seller. It is said that people chose the name of the building as Hundred Predecessors Memorial Hall, taking advantage of the holy will of an old woman who lived her life in loneliness selling bean sprouts.

One day, a land collector in the neighborhood came to visit this grandmother. He said that there is good land in the outskirts of Pyongyang, so it would be good to buy it. Not once or twice, but after persistent advice, this old woman decided to buy the land by handing all the money she had collected to the mereger. He didn't even do a local survey himself. Even then, the neighbors believed in each other that much. But one day, when I had time, my grandmother visited the land. What happened to this? The mountain was a stone mountain without a single grass. Grandma Baek, who was so disappointed, could not bear it because she was resentful and resentful at the betrayal of her neighbor. In despair as if the earth was going out and the sky was collapsing, he continued to sell sprouts again. I had a really tearful day and worked hard. Even if the world commits a fraudulent act, there must be a fountain.

Then, one day, the mere man appeared again. The old woman, who was regarded as impudent, refused to deal with it at all. He even harbored a sense of caution that he could not be deceived once or twice. But this time, it was to sell the stone mountain. It would pay a good price to sell. Grandmother was satisfied with being deceived, and she didn't want anyone else to suffer. He also vehemently refused.

The old man next door to the megalopolis did not give up and went in and out diligently, and one day he brought the original barrower. Unexpectedly, the original hawk was Japanese. I could not refuse the earnest request of the owner, so I decided to sell it. would have made a huge profit. The rocky mountain later turned into the “Onoda Cement Factory”. The stone mountain was not a useless mountain of rubble, but a mountain of limestone, a raw material for cement.

The grandmother felt ashamed and guilty of selling the neighbor's good-natured uncle Bok-deok-bang as a con artist because of her short opinion. I regretted it so much that I even lost the courage to carry my face. She was ashamed of her sins and folly and spent each day in penance. and made a decision. This enormous wealth was an unexpected property, and I thought it was unearned income in the fortress language.

The grandmother mourned and repented of the past that she hated and cursed, unable to understand the will of a good neighbor. And he decided to donate the unexpected wealth to society, thinking that it was not his share. The fruit is the Hundred Predecessors Memorial Hall.

“Blessed are those who mourn over their sins and transgressions. He will be comforted.”

If the grandmother had regarded the property as her property and saved it in a bank or invested in land, the money would have become useless with the end of World War II, and the land would have been confiscated by North Korea's land reform policy. Not only that, the grandmother would have had to face a people's trial on the charge of being a landlord. However, the social welfare center he dedicated is still shining its name through the writings of a writer today.

After the first Sunday service in 1992, I received a deposit of 2 million won from a believer. It was meant to be used for things that were absolutely necessary. The believer is a person who has suffered for many years from a very poor life. He is a person who has not been able to find a fixed place to live and his whole family has been scattered like a gypsy. I have spent the past 10 years grieving and laughing with him every time I dealt with him, guiding his faith. However, he received a deposit of 200 million won from him. Now they have a small home, and each family has a certain job. He believed that this was the grace of God and a wonderful blessing. Unable to contain his feelings of grace and blessing, he has deposited a huge sum of money with me. When I received the money, my heart was not happy.

After much thought, I decided to write it for what he loved the most. What he loves the most is Dongdaemun Church. He is a believer in this church as the body of Christ, and he believes that it is not worth giving his all for this church. He came here when he was most sad, and he came here when he was most lonely. It was here that he found the courage and strength to overcome the despair of himself and his family. Through the church, he learned how people should live and the truth that they should shape their own destiny in God's will. He came to believe that fulfilling the will of God was the reason and purpose of his life.

Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane. It was a prayer that turned into blood. His prayer was by no means a prayer to find a way out from the death that tightened on him. It was a prayer to seek God's will. That is why his death made him the savior of mankind and the firstfruits of the resurrection. He became the first example to show us a new law: the weak dies, the perishable dies, the body dies but comes back to life.

“Blessed are those who mourn and mourn for the will of God.” They die because they are weak. But the person who has been resurrected is a strong person that no one can resist. People end their lives with death, but those who mourn for God's will receive a blessing beyond death. This is the essence of God's comfort. - Amen -
