James son of Zebedee
1. As John's brother, he worked as a fisherman.
1) Going further from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, one with his father Zebedee, weaving nets in the boat and called him (Matthew 4:21).
2) Six days later, Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother and went up by himself to a high mountain (Matthew 17:1).

2. Presumed to be from a wealthy family

Together with the brothers of Jesus, they devoted themselves to prayer (Acts 1:13,14).
