People want to rise to the top. He longs to expand his influence. But most leaders bog not only themselves, but those who follow them. How can we live a wise life in which everyone matures in peace?
1. Live with heavenly wisdom (verse 13)
True wisdom comes down from heaven. It is given for the purpose of a mature relationship, and not as a means of procreation. Wisdom is not acquired by human effort, but is poured out through revelation. There are elements necessary to gain wisdom. It is an empty heart and a listening heart. We must cast away our own greed and lust and focus on the wisdom that comes down from heaven. A wise person not only acquires wisdom, but also reveals it through good deeds. There is meekness in their good deeds. A heart that obeys God and a heart that fears God is meekness. When we live with wisdom from heaven, the world becomes holy. Please reveal the wisdom of heaven with a gentle heart.
2. Forsake false wisdom (verses 14-16)
As opposed to true wisdom, there is false wisdom that is worldly, sensual, and comes from Satan. This is the wisdom to have more out of jealousy and competition. This wisdom denies others because it is self-centered. I try to reveal myself. Since this wisdom stems from endless desire, it is not self-sufficient and even opposes the truth. It's packed with visions, but in reality it's nothing more than lust. In the end, only confusion and evil deeds remain, resulting in division and strife. Many modern people live as slaves to this false wisdom. So they pursue happiness, but all they have in their hands is chaos. Dear saints, are you passionate about revealing yourself? I hope you give up on your pursuit of false wisdom and live longing for the wisdom of heaven.
3. Enjoy the fruit of wisdom (verses 17-18)
Wisdom from heaven is characterized by purity, peace, and kindness. Gentle, full of mercy and good fruit. There is no prejudice and no hypocrisy. make everyone at peace. There should be no contention and confusion in the church community that longs for the wisdom of heaven and lives by its power. What kind of wisdom is our community full of? It is said that a tree can be known by its fruit. If our present life is full of confusion and evil, we are being deceived by false wisdom. The reason why many churches are troubled with shameful matters is because they lack true wisdom. Go back to the beginning and reflect on what we seek, what we have now. We want to have the grace of discernment.
The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and holiness. Although the history of faith has been long, we are still living in the shadow of sin. But there is hope. Because the Lord never gives up on us. I hope that you will listen to the words given to the church through the Holy Spirit and become believers with true wisdom.
