What words do we use the most in our daily life? Don't you mainly use negative, unholy words? Words are another expression of personality. The Apostle James teaches in the text about living and speaking and acting as Christians. Let's take a look at what we should say and live with the lips God has given us.
1. Don't be a teacher
2. Words and character
An area where people tend to make mistakes is the realm of language. Human beings are both listeners and speakers. Communicate with language. It conveys thoughts through words and comforts the sorrows of others. On the other hand, it can also inflict indescribable wounds. Words are a means of conveying the truth, but they are also a means of lies that distort facts. Words are as difficult to control as they are important. Because the tongue is like fire. Words mean a person's character. Depending on what you say, you can tell what a person is. But our tongues have already been stained with sin and corrupted beyond tame. How clean are our lips?
3. Anointed Lips
There is only one way for words to restore their proper functioning, and that is to be born again by the Holy Spirit. When God called Isaiah to be a minister, he first sanctified him by bringing the coals of the holy altar to his lips. Isaiah has been transformed into a person who speaks the truth to people with dirty lips. This doesn't just mean changes in the lips. It means that his inner world has changed. A change in language is a change in personality. As personality changes, so does language. Our lips can only be reborn by God's absolute sovereignty and grace. Please pray that all sins committed with the tongue be cleansed by the fire of the Holy Spirit. When the oil of the Holy Spirit is poured on our lips, our sins and transgressions will disappear. And our lips will be the lips of the sacrifice of praise.
God has given us lips to speak the truth. He gave the language to offer the sacrifice of praise. Ask God to cleanse your sin-stained lips daily with the fire of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, I hope that you will live a holy life that shares and praises the truth according to the will of the one who created the tongue.
<Prayer>
1. Become anointed lips, and live holy lives!
2. Raise up the heroes of intercession, and let the early morning prayer revive!
3. Heal the weak patients and lead them to worship!
