As Park Chan-ho was on the injured list and did not start, the image reflected on the screen seems weak. Power comes first in a player's life. It's not just an athlete. Life itself is power. Loss of strength means death. Energy is important not only for humans, but also for animals, plants, and the natural world. Verse 1 of today's chapter is essential. I love this phrase so much that I hang it in my drawing room and look at it all the time.
1. Jehovah is the source of all strength, the power itself.
The expression “Jehovah has become my strength” means that my strength is God, and God is my strength itself. There is no power except Jehovah (31). The power of the Lord is girding me with a belt.(39) David said that he trusted in the Lord and leaped over the walls of the enemy running on the enemy.(29) The prophet Isaiah
“… He gives strength to the weary... Those who wait for the Lord will find new strength.” (Isaiah 40:28-31) God is my strength.
2. David experienced the power of Jehovah.
He fought many wars and served as king for a long time. So there were many. The only reason that he was not harmed by those many enemies was that Jehovah was his strength. In verse 2, God says, “My rock, my fortress, my deliverer, my shield, my horn of salvation, my stronghold… ” is expressed. These terms are military terms and war terms. These terms show David's protection from the Lord of hosts. In 1 Samuel 23, David ran away from Saul's sword, but he was exhausted and lost his strength. Then his friend Jonathan advised David: “Trust in Jehovah for strength.” tablet
Words, David can gain great victory by following his advice.
3. Is Jehovah really your strength?
1) Force (superior weapon, strength) cannot be my strength. - When David fought Goliath, he said these words: “You come to me with a sword and a javelin (with strength), but I go in the name of the Lord of hosts (with strength)” and he was victorious. If you use a knife, you will both perish. The power of God triumphs.
2) Power cannot be my strength. - Power, that's like straw. When power is misused or abused, it falls into a grave sin.
3) Money (economic power) cannot be my strength. - Of course, orderly economic management helps people. However, money itself is not a fundamental force. Recently, I heard a sound of 10.100 billion won while saying something. Money can't be money when it's easy. Rather, it confuses people and makes them fall into material things.
4. Our attitude toward Jehovah as our strength
1) Let us love Jehovah. (One)
2) Praise the Lord. (3)
3) Let's pray and seek the Lord. (6)
