Title John 10:2 - Shepherd

Contents

The one who enters through the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep

1. What God Does

God has made His Son Jesus the shepherd. God made His Son Jesus a shepherd because only Jesus as a shepherd followed His word. Jesus came as a shepherd, but he did not do it by force. As an evil shepherd, he did not try to fill his own belly by harvesting any sheep or incorporating goats. Jesus came as a shepherd, but he came as a shepherd who even lay down his life. But most shepherds did not do that. A shepherd who raises sheep or a shepherd who raises goats becomes a shepherd in order to eat or sell what he raises. We are ready to give up our life as a shepherd at any time if we do not receive the reward as much as our sacrifices or our efforts. But Jesus sacrificed himself, even to the point of death. He did it not with effort, but with love, mercy, and compassion. If you are a shepherd, you must become like Jesus to be a true shepherd. Those who do not do so are not the shepherds, but those who try to call their ships under the pretext of being a shepherd.

(1) The one who enters through the door is the shepherd.

Jesus thoroughly followed the written word even to enter through the door. This is because the door that God made is a door that cannot be entered unless it is with the Word of God. For it was the narrow gate and so was the sheep gate. Nevertheless, the world prefers wide doors to narrow ones. I prefer a wide door with a lot of people looking for it so people can comfort each other. Because there are many people who are looking for it, it is because they comfort themselves that they will never forsake them. But a narrow gate is a gate that can only be reached by going through a narrow and strait road. Those who seek it will inevitably be lonely at the right time, but it is the door that will surely lead to heaven if they follow the word.

(2) Shepherd of sheep

God made His Son Jesus to be only a shepherd of the sheep. He did not make them shepherds of goats or shepherds of other creatures. Jesus did not go beyond the boundaries that God had set. The reason that Jesus did not deviate from the boundaries that God had set forth was not because he had a narrow mind or heart. When Jesus created all the creatures of the world, He directly intervened with His words to the extent that nothing could have been done without Him. In fact, no one has a broader mind or heart than Jesus. Nevertheless, the reason that Jesus only had to become a sheep shepherd is because only sheep can enter the kingdom of heaven. Because goats can never enter the kingdom of heaven. Because only those on the right can enter the kingdom of heaven, and those on the left cannot enter the kingdom no matter what they do.

Although Jesus became a sheep shepherd, he was never rich because of the sheep. Rather, he became poor for the sheep and gave up his life for them. As a shepherd of sheep, Jesus was not ashamed. There is no poet in this world who is not ashamed of anything in the sight of God. Such a person is still unaware that he is a sinner. The sheep obey the shepherd's words. The sheep do not obey the words of other shepherds, thieves, or robbers. Obviously, from the moment of entering the sheepfold, the person who obeys such a person is no longer a sheep even though he is a thief and robber who does not enter through the door but goes to another place.

2. The heart of God

You want to follow only the shepherd

God has only His Son, Jesus, to be a shepherd. Others are only servants of Jesus, no matter how called a shepherd. They are just friends who know what the owner is doing. God not only made His Son Jesus the shepherd, but He also made Him the good shepherd. So, if you want to be a shepherd like Jesus, you must follow Jesus, who is the shepherd. Those who do not follow Jesus and live with only the name of a shepherd do not even understand the meaning of a shepherd and are giving strength to their shoulders with only the name. The true shepherd is not the one who is full because of the sheep like the shepherd of the world, but the one who becomes poor because of the sheep and dies because of the sheep like Jesus. A true shepherd is someone who teaches only the Word and does what is written, even in order to avoid falsehood.

Matthew 9:36 ?hen he saw the crowds, he felt sorry for them, for they were troubled and lost, like sheep without a shepherd.??

Jesus went through every city and village, teaching in our synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every infirmity. Still, when he saw the crowd, he felt embarrassed because we were struggling and getting better like sheep without a shepherd. At one time Paul was a Pharisee of Pharisees, a Hebrew of Hebrews, was circumcised on the eighth day, and took great pride in being of the tribe of Benjamin. At the same time, they persecuted believers, but when Jesus met Paul on the road to Damascus, he said that it was hard for you to kick your back with thorns. A life without a shepherd is just a continuation of a life of hardship and advantage, no matter how proud you are and how great your values are.

3. Who God is

He is the one who makes only the shepherd follow.

God is the one who makes His people follow only Jesus, the Shepherd. He who does not follow is like a sheep without a shepherd, who suffers and gives trouble.

4. Traces of Jesus (Confession and Sharing)

(1) The blood of Jesus - What the shepherd did not follow

(2) The life of Jesus - A decision to follow only Jesus, the shepherd

5. Prayer

Jesus is just a sheep

still not obeying

I was just trying to get away

forgive me

Only follow Jesus, the shepherd

Don't be like a sheep without a shepherd.

Please don't suffer while walking backwards with thorns.

Let me be a follower of Jesus only.
