Title [John 20:19-23] Resurrected Jesus
Jesus died on the cross for the sins of all mankind. He has prepared the way so that anyone who believes in Jesus will not perish but be saved. But he did not remain dead in the tomb, but rose from the dead on the third day. It was to confirm that He became “the resurrection and the life” and to restore him to the place of glory, and to give assurance and hope of life to all who sleep in the Lord. The resurrected Jesus appeared several times while he stayed in the world for 40 days. Today, on the evening of the Resurrection Day, we want to receive grace by introducing the text where the ten disciples were hiding and giving him the command.
1. He proclaimed peace to the disciples who were trembling in fear (19-21a).
Today, we hope that you will be freed from all worries, pains and fears by believing in the Lord who completed the atonement through the cross and guaranteed life through the resurrection. I hope that the word you proclaimed, “Peace be with you,” will be delivered to us so that we can all be filled with peace and joy.
2. He gave the mission to the disciples in joy and peace (21b-23).
