Title [John 3:14-17] God's love
The Bible clearly testifies about God's love. The text of the text confirms this love of God. I hope it will be a precious time to receive grace while confirming this love of God.
1. The giving of the only begotten Son is the proof of love.
“God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son.” We should feel God's love whenever we meditate on Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son. It is grace and blessing that Jesus laid down the throne of God and became incarnate. He Himself was crucified and died, and because of that, all our sins are forgiven. How can we not be moved by that love? Romans 5:8 says, “God demonstrates his love for us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Let us become believers who do not forget the great love of the Lord who died on the cross to atone for our sins.
2. Jesus died on the cross for our eternal life.
Among the gifts (blessings) God has given us, the most precious and precious gift is to receive eternal life. Humans were originally created to enjoy eternal life. Genesis 1:27 says that God created man in His own image. Eternal life, one of the attributes of God, is included in this image. In this way, we were created to enjoy eternal life with God, but human beings have lost this image due to their sins. After living in one world with suffering, he suffered death, the punishment for sin, and received the eternal punishment of hell. However, because Jesus suffered all those sufferings on our behalf, the way to eternal life has been restored for us. We must now transcend the fear of sin and death. We must become believers who live joyfully with hope and expectation for eternal life. May this life be with all of us.
3. To receive eternal life, you must believe in Jesus as your Savior.
He said, “that everyone who believes may have eternal life” (15:16). Even though the way to eternal life is given, there are many people who do not go along that way. When the people of Israel sinned against God and died because of a fiery serpent, God made a bronze serpent to be hung high on a pole, and he promised that anyone who looked at the bronze serpent would live. Everyone was given an equal chance, but not everyone looked at the bronze serpent. Only those who believed in the word of God spoken through Moses could see and gain life. Anyone who believes in the crucified Jesus as their Savior has eternal life. But there are many people in the world who deny, reject, or even oppose Jesus. Unfortunately, they cannot participate in eternal life and have no choice but to go to Hell, a place of eternal punishment. May none of us doubt or deny it. I hope that you will become believers who fully receive the Lord as your Savior and enjoy eternal life with confidence.
4. We who have been loved by God must practice love.
