Title John 5:1-9
Content John 5:1-9/ First place is not the only way to success
John 5:1 After that, there was a Jewish feast, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
John 5:2 There was a pool in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate called Bethesda in Hebrew, and there were five porches.
John 5:3 Many sick, blind, lame, and thirsty lay in it (waiting for the water to move)
John 5:4 For angels sometimes come down into the lake to stir the water, and whoever enters first after it stirs is healed of any disease.)
John 5:5 There was a man who was 38 years old.
John 5:6 When Jesus saw that he was lying down, he knew that he had been ill for a long time, and said, “Do you want to be healed?
John 5:7 The sick man answered, "Lord, when the water rises, there is no one to put me in the pool; while I am going, another goes down first."
John 5:8 Jesus said to him, Rise, pick up your bed, and walk.
John 5:9 Immediately the man was healed, took up his bed, and walked.
Only those who enter Bethesda first are healed.
But the people who need it the most are sick and have a hard time getting in first.
Those who need the least will go in first. : Bethesda's Dilemma
If you look at the world, people who don't need to win the competition win the competition. : The world's dilemma
What we really need is healing, but we cannot go to God to be healed.
If you compete with someone else who won an Olympic gold medal and win, will you heal? : Not likely.
If you are over 25, you have to reduce your work. You have to narrow down your focus and choose
If it continues to expand, you will not be able to concentrate and develop.
1. Live a grace-oriented life
Don't believe too much in false possibilities
A saying like 'I am happy when I am rich'.
It's not about the sick saying Jesus heal me.
Jesus said, let me be first in the competition (enter Bethessa first).
Meeting Jesus is number one and heals me.
The fight to make the world number one is an academy, not Christianity. Not everyone can be number one.
But everyone can win. when you meet Jesus. healed.
When you meet Jesus, you don't have to be first.
When we meet Jesus, we are fully used in our own way.
I want to fight to meet Jesus, not to fight first.
Enter the depths of grace.
I hope that you will live your life with the power of Jesus in a deep encounter with Jesus.
Those who think of competition interpret it as competition.
Walk the path of grace, not the path of competition.
2. Live a life that wins hearts
People don't like it because they only have money and they are only educated.
But if you use what you have, you can like it.
Grace to win the heart of God. Good relationships to win people's hearts.
People write who they like. I'm not writing number 1.
You have to be first to be used -> Illusion
Finding and getting someone you like
Saul - I can't get a single heart.
David - won the hearts of many. He made even the enemy (Saul) praise him.
It is not that there are no enemies in the world, but that the enemy should be feared and respected.
Purpose - to win people's hearts.
When doing business, when evangelizing.
We should hold onto grace, not the principle of competition.
