Title [Joshua 23:6-11] Joshua's Will
It can be seen from the text that Joshua is fully fulfilling his responsibilities towards the people of Israel. Sensing that death was imminent, the words of calling the elders of the people and telling them what to do after your death are beneficial and blessed for all of us. Now, I would like to receive grace by introducing the text of the text.
1. He revealed that death is a process that everyone must go through (14).
2. He made us know who God is (14).
Joshua confirmed to the leaders of the people that God Himself had fought for the people and distributed the land (3-5), and now he said of God, “He who knows with heart and mind” (14). In the end, it is a request not to forget the grace of God. There are plenty of ungrateful and ungrateful people in the world. They don't even get recognized in the end.
It goes without saying that there will always be chastisement for those who forget and betrayed God's grace.
He said, “He will even destroy you from this beautiful land that he has given you” (15) and “The wrath of the Lord will come upon you, and you will quickly perish from the good land that he has given you” ( 16). David lived his life vowing to himself (soul), “Praise the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his favors” (Psalm 103:2). It is for this reason that his life was reverent and faithful to the work of the Lord. Let us also live a life of godliness and loyalty, not forgetting all the blessings God has given us. In doing so, you will continue to enjoy great blessings in this life and in the life to come.
3. Some of the words Joshua left in his will are as follows.
