Title: Happy New Year
Bible: Jude 1:20-21
A person must have a clean conscience.
A person's strength comes from a clean conscience. The conscience and soul of man are trapped like impurities.
Guilt puts a barrier between you and me, preventing you from receiving strength from the Lord. How can we solve this guilt problem? It must experience the blessing of forgiveness. The Lord is waiting for us to give the grace of forgiveness and forgiveness to our unclean sinners (1 John 1:9).
The spiritual old things of the past year should not be a burden on our conscience this year.
Set new goals.
A person without a goal easily collapses even in the difficulties of life. Everyone, do you want to have a new dream?
Have a new goal. We must have a goal that shakes our lives and wakes us up. Fathers have clear goals in life that only God's children can have.
You want to live. Seoul Bethel Saints made clear goals for material, health, and prayer for us. Ladies and gentlemen, God will be pleased if you have a clear purpose in life for yourself, your family, and for your church and country.
Find a group that will bless you.
When life of faith alone is difficult, join with people who can give you strength and encouragement.
History appears in every encounter. We have to raise our heads and look up and join the people of our dreams.
Trust in God's power.
Our resources are in God's power from heaven as well as from this earth.
We can be used before God when we are constantly recharged with our spiritual power.
I hope you are happy to become a member of Seoul Bethel Church. This is because our church has dreams, people of faith, and a goal to live for the Lord. With this kind of heart, I hope you will regain the vitality of your faith and live happily ever after.
God has a clear wish that He has given us this year. So we need to think deeply about how we can live a happy new year.
First, let's look at the background of the text. When the early church powerfully preached the gospel, false teachers entered the church. These were ungodly people who denied Jesus Christ.
These people tempted the church and challenged the church. The times we live in
This is Ji. Just as people in the last days will love themselves and love money and pleasure more than God, materialism and hedonism are ruthlessly ravaging souls. In this spiritually difficult time, we will explain the principles of our life in four ways through the text.
1. We must build ourselves on holy faith.
A building cannot be built without a solid foundation. Likewise, in order for my life to stand upright before the Lord, I must first build myself on the most holy faith. What is 'Most Holy Faith'? “Faith built on the words of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ” (verse 17). The word preached from the pulpit of Seoul Bethel Church and the root of our faith are in the holy teachings of Jesus Christ and the words of the apostles who transmitted those teachings.
Everyone! I hope that the depth of this very word will increase throughout this year. I hope that you will draw closer to the Word and have the grace to hold on to the Word. If we build ourselves on this holy faith, we will not be shaken by the temptations and challenges of the world and any heresies. I hope that the grace of holding on to these precious words delivered through countless martyrs and preachers and strengthening the basic constitution of our faith will be among you throughout this year.
2. We must pray in the Holy Spirit
The phrase ‘pray in the Spirit’ means ‘pray in the Spirit’. This is praying in the presence, power, and help of the Holy Spirit. When you pray in the Holy Spirit, you gain strength. Even if you don't have anything, your hopes for the future will unfold brilliantly. The certainty of the answer shakes my heart. Therefore, it is more important to pray in the power and help of the Holy Spirit than how long you pray. Modern people have missed this gem of prayer. Prayer is the lifeline that connects us with God, who is supplied with spiritual energy. I believe that we will experience the amazing grace and power of the Holy Spirit when we become a praying community in our homes and churches this year.
★About prayer---------
“The one who kneels the best is the one who stands the most, the one who kneels the weakest is the one who stands strongest, and the one who kneels the longest is the one who stands the longest.”
When we work, we only work, but when we pray, God works.
All
★ Prayer is a spiritual work of working together with God. God has a holy decree to work through the prayers of His children.
3. You must keep yourself in the love of God.
A child's happiness is possible when they are in the arms of their parents' love. Happiness did not come to the prodigal son who left his father's love in Luke 15. When we are in the arms of God's love, we can protect ourselves and enjoy happiness, reward, and joy.
If we could express God's love in a different way, it would be 'church'.
Many people are wandering outside the church. The saints must live in the church. When all of our lives stand in front of the Lord, we can immediately find the reward of life. The only thing that remains as a reward for our lives is to shed tears for the Lord and to live for the Lord. wouldn't you? I pray that this year will be a year in which we live our dignity and protection in God's love and powerfully preach that we are children of God.
4. We must wait for the mercy of the Lord Jesus.
Mercy has to do with longing for Jesus. When the mercy of the Lord is overlaid on all of the above, our life can be revealed as fruit.
Today's text can be summarized as having the Lord's grace to rule. We must receive the grace of the Lord from the beginning of the new year to be able to carry out His precious work well this year. In the new year, we reaffirm our hearts before the Lord and pray that the ‘happy life in the new year’ will be concretely realized in the field of family life of faith.
