Title Leak /Proverbs 11:13
Content leak (Proverbs 11:13)
2000. 3. 5 Sunday evening sermon (Rev. Dooman Jo)
It was forbidden in the Mosaic Law (Leviticus 19:16), and it is also forbidden in this book. The word divulge means to be naked, to peel, to tell someone's secret.
1. Reason for leaking
1) He went about talking about it (Proverbs 11:13).
He is a diligent man in his mouth and lazy in his actions (1 Timothy 5:13). Wandering around is a term used by Satan. It is in the book of Job. There's too much to do right now. You can feel the speed of 30 horsepower in your 30s, 40 horsepower in your 40s, 50 horsepower in your 50s, and 60 horsepower in your 60s. The day goes by quickly. Time is short and there is so much to do. There is a saying in our proverb that 'the road is long, the sun is setting'. When do you have time to go around your neighbourhood and give?
2) Because I like what other people say (Proverbs 18:8)
They are busy examining themselves, but those who can talk about themselves are those who do not know themselves (Matthew 7:1-5). These are those who do not see the log in their own eyes, but want to get the specks out of the eyes of others. There is a saying, 'A lazy person digs a hole in a window and devotes himself to others'. I must always remember that I am busy taking care of myself.
3) Becoming a horseman (Proverbs 16:28)
"Terminator" means a chatter, a punter, a slanderer. There is a saying, 'You have to add salt from the stove to make it salty'. Heaven is what I have to go to, no matter how good it is. We must guard our lips. Didn't the horseman lose both his eyes and turn the millstone because he made a mistake? Samson said.
2. The leaker's result
1) Close close friends (Proverbs 16:28)
Reconciliation is the work of the Holy Spirit, and separation is the work of the devil. It is the work of Seong-ryeong to make two into one, and it is the work of Satan to make one into two. The mother-in-law should take the side of the daughter-in-law, and the mother-in-law should take the side of the son-in-law. You have to turn your enemies into friends. How do you separate your friends?
2) It goes down to the depths of the stomach like a special meal (Proverbs 18:8, 26:22)
The word "delicacies" means to corrode, to sting. It is also translated as a wounded wound. Criticism hurts others deeply. Why do you beat others?
3) Destruction is coming (Proverbs 13:3)
It is said that the failure to keep the mouth causes harm both physically and mentally (James 3:6). Therefore, we wander around and divulge, and it is not right before God to say a lot.
4) divulging secrets (Proverbs 11:13)
This was forbidden by the Mosaic Law (Leviticus 19:16). There are two women I want to see when I go to heaven. The first is Mary, the mother of Jesus, and the second is Esther. How Mary was blessed to conceive the Messiah, Jesus! Also see Esther! How cute, wild, and witty!
5) A quarrel arises (Proverbs 16:28)
Love covers over faults (Prov. 10:12), but those who speak of others are children of the devil who cause strife (Prov. 23:29-30). So, can it cause a quarrel? You must become a peacemaker.
3. How not to leak
1) Be faithful in heart (Proverbs 11:13)
2) Guard your mouth (Proverbs 13:3)
4. Conclusion
1) Do not associate with leakers (Proverbs 20:19)
There are people you can't date, and there are people you need to get along with. You can recognize a person by looking at a friend. We should not associate with evildoers (Job 34:8), unbelievers (2 Corinthians 5:14), open-lipped people (Proverbs 20:19), fools (Proverbs 13:20), gluttons (Proverbs 28:7). ), prostitutes (Proverbs 29:3), anger bearers (Proverbs 22:24), those who claim to believe and sin (1 Corinthians 5:11), disobedient to the Word (2 Thessalonians 3:14), demons (1 Corinthians 10:20) ), and the people to be acquainted with are God (John 1:6), the Lord (1 Corinthians 1:9), the saints (Galatians 2:9), and those who are persecuted for the sake of the Lord (Hebrews 10:33). Therefore, you should not associate with leakers.
2) Guard your mouth to preserve life (Proverbs 13:3)
They confess Jesus with their words and gain salvation (Matthew 10:32), and they deny Jesus with their words and perish. Words are so terrifying. Slow to speak, and diligent hands and feet. Peaceful words should be diligent, but at the right time. Will you speak like Esther and Rahab, or will you speak like Samson, who lost both eyes while speaking carelessly?
