Legend of Spring
Text/ Psalm 126:5-6
1. Introduction
You may find the title of the sermon “Legend of Spring” a bit daunting in the midst of the fall foliage-fallen leaves-harvest season. I admit it too. But the truth is that while looking at the beautiful autumn scenery around Mt. Myungyeong-Mt. Eobi-Mt. Namhansanseong and our church, I decided to preach the sermon “Legend of Autumn” and while I was preparing, my thoughts jumped and I matched spring-summer-autumn-winter. it was done with First, let's read today's text.
* Those who sow in tears will reap with joy. Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He who goes weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him 126:5-6).
2. The description of spring in Webster's Dictionary
When I looked up the <spring-spring> entry in Webster's dictionary, spring is a word used as a verb and a noun.
Spring = *The first season of the four seasons (Spring-Summer-Autumn-Winter) *Youth-Youth-Youth (springal) *The source of spring water gushing out of the ground *The fundamental motive of all actions *The body shriveled and wrinkled is the Restores the elasticity of *Resilient and resilient soars, soars *Trees grow *Begins to exist *Move forward with speed and strength *Leap vigorously *Energy, bounce, etc.
Looking closely at the meaning of the word spring, what comes to mind is a sunny spring-elan vital (elixir of life)-power of existence-resurrection-cool spring water.... In addition, “Youth! These are words that make your heart flutter just by hearing them. youth! Put your hands on your hands and hear your heart beat like a watermill. Because the blood of youth is hot, the grass of love blooms in the human garden, the ideal flower blooms, the play of hope rises, and the birds of joy sing.
Spring-Summer-Autumn-Winter The first season of the four seasons, spring, is one of the four seasons of life: childhood (1-20 years old) - youth (21-40 years old) - adult (41-60 years old) - old age (after 61 years old) - Applies to youth. Or “What? Even a 40-year-old is the spring of life?” I am not sure, but by 2050 in the middle of the 21st century, the average life expectancy is 120 years old. Therefore, I think it is reasonable to view the years 1-40 as the spring of life.
3. Legend of Spring
first. Spring is, no matter what anyone says, the time of sowing - the time of preparation - the time of laying the ground. There is a season and a time for every purpose under the heavens, for there is a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to boast (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2). According to the Talmud, "To not teach a child a profession in which he can provide his own food makes him a thief." It is the eternal order of creation.
Chesterfield, England, in "Letter to Son": "Are you going to live in a shack in the future? Do you live in an ordinary brick house? Do you live in a house built on Doric-Corinthian-Ionic columns? What you do depends on what you are preparing now.”
second. Spring is a time of love. Spring is the season when the yang energy between the heavens and the earth soars and transforms, and the life of the land mate and pass on to the next generation. In the spring of life, a man and a woman should pair up to build a house, have children, and create a beautiful family and live happily. You need to know how to live your life wisely.
“I have seen good and beautiful that a man should eat and drink, and enjoy pleasure in all his hard work under the sun, which God has given him throughout his life, and this is his portion. It is a gift from God that he receives and rejoices in his hard work, and he will not contemplate the day of his life, for God responds with the pleasure of his heart” (Ecclesiastes 5:18-20).
Western proverb: “He has a very hard heart who does not love in May, he who does not know how to love in May when the flowers bloom. Life consists not in breathing, but in enjoying).
However, the ethical virtues emphasized in the post-industrialization-demodernization (postmodernism)-knowledge-information era are new technology-planning-information-creative ideas-speed-change-artisticity, etc. However, Professor Jeong-Woon Kim, an expert on play culture, said that these abilities required by the new era are actively developed when they play well, immerse themselves in a comfortable state, have fun and have fun. In other words, play = creativity. Nose Nose Young Nose!
