Word: As we enter Lent, we must discover the wonderful love and grace of Jesus. The Lord who gave up all the glory of heaven and came to this earth with a low heart took up the cross to save us. When Jesus died on the cross, the veil in the temple was torn. It is a sign of the end of the Old Testament Age (the Age of Law), and it means that all saints can become priests. Anyone can come to God, and the wall that blocks God has been broken through the propitiation of Jesus Christ. So, because of that grace, our sins are forgiven and we go forward serving the Lord. Realizing God's grace means becoming a people who can truly think about the sufferings of the Lord.
Verse 51 says, “The earth shook and the rock broke” (verse 51). If we are children who have realized the grace of the Lord, our hearts must be turned into soil and our hearts like stones must be broken so that only the words of Jesus Christ can flow out. Because the Lord's death made us into life as a blessing. Even though we are advancing in this grace, why do we continue to be bound by Satan and remain in pain? Although Jesus was hung on the cross of curses, he eventually resurrected after 3 days and gave us the cross of hope. Now in our hearts we have the cross of resurrection, not the cross of curses. The Holy Spirit came within us and made it possible for us to enter into the grace of God.
Because we have the mark of victory over death today, we must do our best to spread the gospel while thinking about the resurrection of Jesus every day. The only way to repay the favor is to preach the gospel. Dear brothers and sisters, during Lent, we must start preaching the gospel every day, thinking about the death and resurrection of the Lord not only through the sufferings of the cross but also until the end of our lives.
What the Lord wants us to do is to run with joy and hope in freedom as we look to the resurrection.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, through the Lent season, discover your amazing love and suffering, so that you have faith to be thankful every day, and work to become a beautiful person of blessing who runs toward you until the end. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
