Title Let's become successful worshipers! (April 19, 2009)
Contents
Topic: Let's become successful worshipers.
Word: Genesis 4:1-8
1 Adam slept with his wife Eve, and Eve became pregnant and gave birth to Cain, and said, "I have a son by the LORD."
2 He also gave birth to Abel, Cain's brother, who was a shepherd, and Cain was a farmer.
After three years had passed, Cain sacrificed the produce of the earth and offered it to the LORD.
4 Abel himself also offered the firstborn of the sheep and their fat; and the LORD accepted Abel and his offering.
5 Cain and his offering were not accepted. Cain was very angry and his countenance changed.
6 The LORD said to Cain, "What is your wrath, and what is the change in your countenance?
7 If you do good, how can you not be welcome? If you do not do good, sin lies at the door.
8 Cain spoke to his brother Abel, and while they were in the field, Cain struck down his brother Abel to death.
We must live centered on God. God walks with such people. When we worship and live our lives with a perfect heart and an upright attitude, God fills us abundantly and abundantly.
The words of Genesis 1~2 record how all things began and that God is the owner of all things.
Genesis 3 records the beginning of a family and the consequences of human disobedience.
Genesis 4 (Today's Word) shows that a person who became a sinner through the sacrifices of Cain and Abel can speak again through the holy sacrifice (= worship). God has opened the way for us to restore a right relationship with God through worship. Christian worship is a wonderful privilege that only children of God can participate in. It is also an obligation that anyone who has been saved and becomes a child of God must participate.
1. There is self-centered worship.
Before man sinned, he lived face to face with God and walked. However, as sin entered man, he was able to face God only through worship. Adam and Eve disobeyed and were expelled from the Garden of Blessings, giving birth to Cain and Abel. Cain and Abel offer sacrifices to God. Although the appearance of the worship service is similar, Cain, the older brother, was full of anger after the service, leading to murder. This is an event that shows the tragedy of worshipers who give themselves to their heart. The first murder of mankind was by Cain, who failed in holy worship. Styrofoam drips when water is sprayed on it, but the sponge absorbs the water. Cain was like Styrofoam, so the Word was not absorbed well, but Abel was like a sponge. Cain and Abel lived under one roof. However, the attitude towards the priests was different. It is the same with us who are sitting in the same chapel right now. There are people who long for the Word and worship while there are people who do not.
2. There is a worship of faith that is centered on God.
Why did God accept Abel's offering and not Cain's?
Cain's sacrifice was done according to his own circumstances. They made sacrifices using the fish of the land as a treasure. Wealth was splendid, but it was always a sacrifice. It was self-centered worship. It is like a person who puts his or her experiences, circumstances, beliefs and plans first. It is the image of a useless person who does not try to form a model of faith and tries to maintain the image he has kept.
On the other hand, Abel's sacrifice sacrificed the first lamb. This was a form of worship centered on God. This was acceptable before God.
Our attitude and faith in life are important to God.
3. Worship is the biggest feast and festival.
We want life to be happy. Please believe that your life will be changed through true worship and filled with the spiritual blessings of heaven and the fatness of the earth. Above all, a life of faith is important. The Spirit of truth wants our hearts to be warmed for the Word. He wants to open spiritual doors. God wants us to be participants in worship, not spectators. He wants you to live a life that is pleasing and approved by God through holy worship.
So, how should we prepare for holy worship?
God wants to set us apart and bless us. As a personal being, God meets us through the form of worship by allowing us to see with our eyes, hear with our ears, speak with our mouths, and feel with our hearts. If you disobey God's word, the first thing to come is the loss of worship.
I don't like to worship, and even if I do, there is no inspiration. If we are true children of God, we must receive everything through worship until we die.
4. Worship is a time to meet God.
The leadership of worship rests with God. For true worship, when God calls us, we have to throw away all our busy lives and come to the Lord. Opening the door of the chapel every Sunday is opening the door to heaven and entering. God speaks and we respond with prayer and praise of determination. The dialogue between God and the saints is worship. In addition, you must give the material with all your heart and sincerity. Where the mind is, there is matter. Giving money can be burdensome and difficult. But it's the right thing to do and it's important. God values those who worship in spirit and in truth.
Sandoll Saints-
In order for our spirit and body to live, worship must first live. I pray that all the saints will become victors in worship and become victors in life.
