Title Let's Evangelize (Luke 15:11-32)
Contents
Evangelism is God's will, and it is the Lord's great command. Saints should regard evangelism as a responsibility and duty.
The purpose of the Lord's coming to this earth was to find the lost sheep (Luke 19:10) “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Evangelism is the Lord's greatest command and the greatest concern. It is also the purpose of the Holy Spirit's coming to this earth.
(Luke 15:7) “I tell you, in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”
(Luke 15:10) “I tell you, in the same way there is joy in the sight of the angels of God if one sinner repents.”
(Luke 15:32) “This thy brother was dead and is alive, and I was lost and found; therefore we should rejoice and rejoice.”
Evangelism completes our faith and completes our salvation. It is to complete the blessing. Just as a professor's intellect as a professor is only completed when he teaches students, a believer's faith is completed when he evangelizes.
The spirituality of the preacher is completed through preaching. Those who have received the blessing of material things will give the material to complete the blessing. Because faith is perfected by works (James 2:22). Therefore, the completion of our faith and the completion of our salvation can only be achieved when we practice evangelism.
1. Why do we need to do evangelism?
Because the gospel has the power of God.
(Romans 1:16) “I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.”
1) It contains the ability to save souls from dying.
2) It has the power to change people who are going to hell into people who are going to heaven.
3) It has the ability to transform a failed person into a successful person.
4) It has the power to make the poor rich.
5) It has the ability to turn an unhappy person into a happy person.
6) It changes people who do not know God into people who know God.
7) There is the ability to experience the power of prayer.
8) It has the power to make the Bible believe as the Word of God.
9) It has the ability to open the eyes of those who have dark eyes.
2. What are the qualifications of an evangelist?
1) You must be a person who has received the power of the Holy Spirit.
(Acts 1:8) “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria to the ends of the earth.”
2) You must have the conviction of the gospel.
3) You must have the experience of meeting the Lord personally.
4) You must be a person who has the ability to obey the Word.
5) You must have the power of prayer.
6) You must be a person who knows the preciousness of the soul.
3. We must evangelize like this.
1) Do not choose any time and place.
(Acts 5:42) “Every day whether they were in the temple or at home, they did not cease teaching and preaching that Jesus was the Christ.”
(2 Timothy 4:2) “Preach the word, in season and out of season, always be diligent.”
2) Do not discriminate against people.
(Matt 22:9) “Go to the crossroads, and as soon as you meet people, ask them to come to the wedding feast.”
(Luke 14:23) “The master said to his servant, ‘Go out into the roads and through the hills, and compel them to take me and fill my house.’
3) It must be repeated constantly.
(Galatians 6:9) “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest, if we do not grow weary.”
4) It must be done by the power of the Holy Spirit.
(1 Corinthians 2:4) “My speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but only in the manifestation and power of the Holy Spirit”
5) We must help them receive the Holy Spirit.
The history of believing in Jesus Christ,
The history of believing that the Bible is the Word of God,
The history of believing in the power of prayer,
The Holy Spirit has the history of experiencing the miracle of donation.
5. There are blessings and benefits for evangelists.
1) When preaching the word, the evangelist's own faith is completed.
The words of Jesus Christ become more and more believed.
You become more and more confident in the power of God.
You will experience the work of the Holy Spirit.
Your faith will continue to grow.
2) When you preach the Word, the work of the Holy Spirit will be revealed.
(1 Corinthians 2:4) “My speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but only in the manifestation and power of the Holy Spirit”
(Acts 8:12-13) 『[12] They believed that Philip was preaching about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, and both men and women were baptized. [13] Simon also believed and after being baptized, he prayed for Philip with all his heart. They followed him and were amazed at the signs and great powers that appeared.”
Miracles will happen.
The sick will be healed.
A history of change appears.
The ghost will leave.
3) Receive heavenly rewards and crowns.
(Daniel 12:3) “The wise will shine like the light of the firmament, and the one who turns many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.”
(1 Thessalonians 2:19-20) “[19] What is our hope, or our joy, or the crown of boasting? Are not you before our Lord Jesus at his coming?
4) You will receive blessings on earth, both spiritually and physically.
(Mark 10:29-30) “Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, he who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for my sake and for the sake of the gospel is not in an instant, neither house nor brothers and sisters and mother, There is no one who will not receive a hundredfold more children and lands, plus persecution, and eternal life in the age to come.”
<Conclusion>
Evangelism completes our faith and faith. When we go out and preach Jesus Christ ourselves, our faith grows stronger and our trust in God deepens.
Let us achieve the completion of salvation through evangelism. Let's achieve the perfection of faith. When we preach the Word, we experience the true work of God, and progress in our faith appears.
Faith must be perfected through evangelism.
Let's become those who see the living God.
Let's experience the Holy Spirit working in the field of evangelism.
Only in the field of evangelism can faith grow.
Now, there are two weeks left until the evangelism Sunday of all mobilization. I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become believers who experience God more abundantly by doing your best during the remaining period of evangelism.
