Title Let's Have Confidence (Joshua 1:1~9)

It is said that our body releases 'endorphins' when we laugh or have fun. Endorphins have immunity and that they are good for our body is a fact that even ordinary people without medical knowledge already know. However, there is a hormone that is 4 to 5,000 times stronger than that, and its name is 'Didorphin'. This is the 'emotional hormone' that is produced in our body when we are touched in our lives. Conversely, a hormone called 'adrenaline' is produced when emotions such as unpleasant or hate take over us. It is also called 'the devil's hormone' because it absorbs oxygen from the body and eats it. So, there are 'angel's hormones' and 'devil's hormones' in our body.
There are a lot of people who have lost their confidence these days. I'm dying. Adaptations are making us lose our confidence. On the other hand, the shoulders of children who have completed the SAT exam are drooping, and even in the faces of college students who are about to graduate, they cannot find confidence. It is very difficult to find confidence even for office workers and other people.
He said he couldn't see even an inch ahead, but he said, "What do you want to save and sleep or do?" With an angry heart, they drink too much and commit suicide in despair. Last week, Daul Kim, one of the top models, committed suicide in Paris. There are many people who want to visit Paris at least once in their lifetime. A few friends ago, Japanese tourists who died as a topic of conversation at the Busan shooting range were killed by the topic while collecting travel expenses for 9 years for a trip to Korea. However, she committed suicide, living a successful life in Paris, the fashion center of the world beyond Asia.
On the other hand, even if it is not suicide, we end up becoming a person who cannot do anything out of fear and hesitation. It is said that there are more vagrants wearing ties on city streets, subway stations and bus terminals. This may be the ill effect of the discouragement of frustrated people. In a new era, this is always the case. This is a transition period. Everything is going through a change. As a result, self-confidence itself may feel reckless. We are denial, fearful, fearful, and arrogant.
Today we need confidence. This nation must have confidence. Only then can we get through this time of crisis well. We must calm our anxiety and put down all excessive fear. Anxiety is Satan's whisper. "My soul, why are you anxious and discouraged?" You must listen to the voice of the awakening Lord. A challenging life is beautiful. If you don't try, nothing will happen.
As you can see in today's text, Moses, who accomplished the feat of Exodus, died. The hearts of the people of Israel who have lost him can only be broken and shaken.
I stopped looking and came all the way here, but he is dead. The unimaginable happened and happened.
Life in the world is where things that never even dreamed happen happen.
After the death of Moses, the servant of the LORD, the LORD entrusted these people to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' servant. But no matter how prepared he was, Joshua was likely to waver or hesitate when the time for actual action approached. God told Joshua to have confidence. “Be strong and courageous.” There is nothing more important than having confidence.
This confidence is different from arrogance.
Confidence without God is like a paper boat. Even a small wind or wave can overturn it.
Who is the commander speaking to Joshua? You are the Lord. He says, "Did I not command you?" Therefore, we need to know that nothing gives us more confidence than to trust in God's call and command and to follow it wherever the Lord leads us with confidence in our hearts. Moses is dead, but Almighty God is still alive. You will live to help.
Even if Moses died, there was nothing to be afraid of. why? Because it was God who made Moses Moses. “As I was with Moses, I will be with you.”
Even in a situation where there is nothing to expect and we do not see an inch ahead, if the Lord speaks, we must have faith to believe in the authority of the commander and go to the end. This belief is the belief that triumphs. This belief is the belief that succeeds.
You must have the faith to receive the Lord's encouragement. Even in situations where no one can encourage us, the Lord encourages us.
Remember the Lord is with you
“As I was with Moses, I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (5) “Wherever you go, the Lord your God is with you” (9).
God is with us. Until we are convinced that there is only one God, our protection is unstoppable, and we continue to wander in endless anguish.
I bless you in the name of the Lord that if you are one God, you will surely believe that our protection is unstoppable.
Just as God was with Moses, what is the secret that God is with Joshua and that the God who was with them is also with us today?
Verses 7-8, "... Observe and do all the law that Moses my servant commanded you; do not turn to the right or to the left, so that you may prosper wherever you go. Then observe and do all that is written in it, and your way will be smooth, and you will prosper.” That's right.
As long as your relationship with God is not disturbed, you are fine. In any case, there is hope.
Let's all live with confidence. When you lose your confidence, you lose your faith. And all hopes and hopes will disappear. When you have confidence, everything will be empowered like the rising sun.
Some psychologists have suggested that we humans like to see the sunrise at least several times a year. Just as God lifts up the sun to dispel darkness and provide light, so if we continue to believe in Him, He will lift us up from everything that disturbs us and build us into a wider and safer place.
