Content Let's not discriminate / About 2:1~13

“My brethren, since you have faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, do not treat others with any kindness… ” (James 2:1-13)

The Bible tells us not to discriminate. People tend to be subservient to those who are richer than they are, but instinctively ignore the poor. When Jesus was ministering in this world, he did not look at the outward appearance of anyone he dealt with. It was the same with his conversation with Nicodemus and with the Samaritan woman. People judge by their appearance and discriminate against them. However, people who believe in Jesus must be different. No matter who we deal with, we should not look at the person's outward appearance, but the glorious image of Jesus Christ in him.

When we treat people with the heart of Jesus, we have no choice but to treat them as precious and precious. God loves us without discrimination. Even in the hearts of the poor and marginalized, there is a glorious image of Jesus Christ. Therefore, it is clearly wrong to distinguish love from kindness based on appearance. We are all equal before God.

Rather, we should be merciful. We must speak and act with caution, remembering that one day we will stand before the judgment seat of the Lord. “Compassion” is not just sympathy, but a feeling of real help. It can be said that it is showing mercy and acknowledgment. It is to be merciful and compassionate in all things toward all people, especially toward fellow Christians. Otherwise, God says that those who live stingy will be judged.

However, those who show mercy, show mercy, and serve can be proud when they stand before God. If we have been merciful to others, God will show us mercy and mercy on that day of judgment.
