Title Let God Please (Romans 12:1-2)
Saints!
1999 has come.
Today marks the first Sunday of 1999.
1999 is another millennium, the threshold of the year 2000.
Many mystics, prophets and astrologers
In 1999, a natural disaster and the end of the world were predicted.
There is a prophet who has been making headlines in every newspaper these days.
He was a prophet named Nostradamus, born in 1503 in S o R my, southwestern France.
There are many prophecies in this land, but their prophecies do not come true.
disappeared from people's memory
The prophecies of this man named Nostradamus are too true
Although he died long ago, he is still remembered by many.
According to the newspaper Chosun Ilbo on December 31,
The prophecies he hit are very similar.
Henri II of France died during a horse race (1559).
Execution of Charles I of England and Regent Cromwell (1649);
War of the Spanish Succession (1700), Napoleon born (1769), Hitler born (1889),
The outbreak of World War I (1914), the Russian Bolshevik Revolution (1917),
World War II outbreak (1939), Allied victory (1945), Islamic Revolution in Iran (1978),
Mitterrand came to power in France and the assassination of Egyptian President Sadat (1981).
The Anglo-Argentina Falklands War (1982), the Chernobyl nuclear accident (1986), the fall of the Berlin Wall (1989),
With the collapse of communism (1991), he proved his foresight.
The Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and the outbreak of the plague of the century AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome)
It was also foretold.
Another important prophecy of his
It is his prophecy that the Great King of Terror will come from heaven in July 1999.
He said that in July of this year, the great king of fear will come from heaven, that is, heralding the end of the world.
A cautionary tale to many as we approach 1999.
Saints!
I don't know if this year is the end of the world or next year
The Bible said that Jesus would come again.
We just need to prepare for that day.
How will you prepare?
This year's motto is Romans 12:1.
“Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God.”
This year, we can all offer our bodies as a living, holy sacrifice pleasing to God.
I wish you a happy new year in Jesus name.
Saints!
Today God told us
Romans 12:01 Therefore, brethren, I beseech you by the mercies of God.
Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God.
This is your spiritual worship.
Romans 12:02 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind
Let us discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
You say.
What does it mean to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God?
that we worship God
He is telling us that we must become people who are acceptable to God and are pleasing to God.
Today, we are offering holy sacrifices and worship to God.
But God is not pleased
When you become someone God hates
Worship and not receive,
Even if you donate, you don't receive it.
Who among those who come to worship becomes a person that God is pleased with?
When someone comes to worship God, God receives
Are you a person that pleases God?
First, he is a believer.
You must have faith to please God.
According to Hebrews 11:6
“Without faith it is impossible to please him, for he who comes to God must know that he is
He must also believe that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.”
Without faith it is impossible to please God.
Those who come to God must believe that He exists.
He also says that he must believe that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.
Everyone!
You have come to worship God.
Do you believe in God?
Do you believe that God is a rewarder of those who seek Him?
If you have such faith in your heart, you are pleasing to God.
God accepts the worship and sacrifices of such people.
According to Hebrews 11:4
“By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain,
We have received the testimony that he is righteous, because God testifies of his offering.
He is dead, but by his faith he speaks."
He says that the sacrifice offered by faith is a better sacrifice.
I came here with my body, but I do not have faith that God exists.
Because I do not have faith, even if I offer offerings and sacrifices,
If you do not believe that God is a rewarder, that is a waste of time and vain worship.
Saints!
Even if Jesus did not have faith, he would not perform miracles.
Seeing the disciples who had no faith, Jesus rebuked them.
“O unbelieving generation, how long I am with you and how long will I endure you” (Mark 9:19).
But when Jesus saw someone who had faith, he was very pleased.
Seeing the centurion's faith, the Gentile
“Truly I say to you, none of Israel
I have never found such great faith” (Matthew 8:10).
Faith pleases Jesus and pleases God.
Because if you have faith, you believe and obey the Word of God.
Because if you have faith, you depend on God and pray.
If you have faith, you will overcome the test.
If you have faith, you will be saved and become a child of God.
If you have faith, you will not be judged.
Faith, faith. You must have faith to become a holy person that is pleasing to God.
It is receiving the worship offered by that faith and accepting the sacrifice with pleasure.
Saints!
Do you have this belief?
Do you believe in God?
Faith pleases God.
God is pleased when people who have faith worship.
Second, what kind of person presents himself as a living and holy sacrifice pleasing to God?
That person is the one who repents.
I don't want to live like last year again.
No more God hates
He is a repentant person who does not want to commit the same sins as last year.
What is repentance?
Repentance is a confessor to repent and an individual to be corrected.
There are many people who repent, but there are many who do not truly repent because there is no one to heal them.
There was Judas Iscariot who repented and regretted and committed suicide.
However, when the morning rooster crows, he finds himself inferior to the rooster.
There is Peter who went out and wept and repented.
Repentance is not repentance and regret, but a new decision.
Now I can't live like last year,
A person who is now determined to live a holy life that is pleasing to God
That is the person who repents.
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Let us discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.”
You say.
Saints!
God is pleased with those who repent.
“I tell you, in the same way, if one sinner repents
There will be more rejoicing in heaven over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance” (Luke 15:7).
You say.
God in heaven prays that one sinner repent
He said that He delights more than the ninety-nine righteous who need no repentance.
Repentance makes God so pleased.
There was a Pharisee and a publican who entered the temple and prayed.
A Pharisee was a man who fasted twice a week and gave tithes of his income.
Rather than the proud Pharisee's prayer that God has no repentance
They beat their breasts and said, “God, have mercy on me, for I am a sinner.”
He heard the prayer of a publican who sincerely repented.
Repentance is a mature faith in which the baby-like faith that has been crawling up until now stands.
Repentance is for those who deserve to die for their sins
To be forgiven, blessed, saved, and loved by God
It's an amazing and amazing road.
Let our bodies become holy, repentant bodies pleasing to God.
When we worship and offer sacrifices, God accepts and delights in us.
Third, who presents their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God?
It is an obedient person.
It is obedience like a child.
When we ask our children to close their eyes when praying, Songbi closes her eyes completely.
It never opens until you say Amen.
A truly blessed and naive person who says to do what God says and doesn't do it if he doesn't.
Faith.
The Bible repeatedly says that if you obey God's word, you will be blessed.
Blessed are you when you go out, you are blessed when you enter
He said that children will be blessed and even livestock will be blessed.
Obedience is the secret to being blessed.
God loves obedience.
He prefers obedience to God's worship.
"Samuel said, "The LORD offers burnt offerings and other sacrifices
Would you like that voice as he loves obedience?
Obedience is better than sacrifice, and hearing is better than the fat of rams” (1 Samuel 15:22).
Says.
Obedience is better than disobedience to the Word of God and offering sacrifices.
Why do you worship?
If we do not obey the word of God, the sacrifice is offered, but it is mana.
Obedience is an expression of faith.
Obedience is a sign of fear of God.
Obedience is the door through which miracles happen through God's work.
If you tell the Israelites to turn around Jericho without saying a word, they will turn around.
If you go and wash your body 7 times in the Jordan River, you are washing.
If you borrow a bowl from your neighbor, close the door, and continue pouring oil from the oil bottle, you are pouring.
Obedience causes Jericho to fall.
The obedience of washing the body 7 times in the Jordan River cures leprosy.
If you obey the command to keep pouring the oil bottle into the vessel, a miracle will happen where every vessel is filled.
Obedience is a truly blessed life that pleases God.
The obedient person presents his body as a living, holy sacrifice pleasing to God.
Saints!
Don't you want to live like that this year?
Live by the faith that pleases God,
repent and live,
Do you not want to live in obedience?
A body that practices such a life is a body that offers a living sacrifice that is holy and pleasing to God.
He is a person whom God is pleased with.
I decided to live that way.
May all of you make such a 1999 year.
I bless you in Jesus name.
