<Text> Leviticus 27:1-34

<Hymns> Chapter 591. The farmer goes out to the field

Those who know the grace of God have a heart to do anything for God. To these people, the law made them work for the sanctuary, the house of God. However, since not all people could work for the sanctuary, only those who wanted to make a ransom offering instead of the body were made, and that is the ordinance of vows.

The people of Israel in the Old Testament were those who received the grace of God. From hair to toes, there is no part that has not received God's grace. So the Israelites thanked God for this kind of grace, and said, "God, we have received unspeakably great grace so far, but now we will show some sincerity. What should we do?" when you say

For those who can give what they have, there will be no problem if they give thanks for the grace as they have decided in their heart.

but the problem is

The text deals with the problem of what to do with those who want to give their heart but cannot afford it.

That's in today's text verse 8. Let me read it.

(Leviticus 27:8) “But if the vower is poor and cannot bear the price you have set, you shall bring him before the priest, and the priest shall set the price, and the price shall be set according to the circumstances of the vower.”

This verse is the most important in today's Word, and it is to bring to the priests the poor, who want to thank God for His grace and have nothing to offer.

And when the priest saw the man, he told him not to set the price with a few shekels of silver, but to give even 10 won to God and give thanks to God. It also means that God is very happy to receive it. This means that you are not bound by any pre-determined values.

Originally, how much is a man, how much is a woman, how much is a child, and how much is an elderly person? is.

It is not a forced offering such as donating ten or a hundred won because it is a waste of money, but because we are truly grateful for God's grace, we can confidently give thanks no matter how small it is.

Since God doesn't have anything, would you ask the people of Israel to donate like this? That is, God wants to see the love of the people of Israel that way. It does not mean that there is no discrimination, but that they regard it as the same love and that they will all rejoice.

The way the people of Israel thanked God with these materials is a stinging remark to the Korean church, which is tired of material things and plays with money like today. A church where those who have it are treated as elders and magistrates, that is, a church that blasphemes the spirit of God's love. Such a church is not a church. It's just that it's just a social group in the world.

How can they boast of what they have in the face of God's great love? You should not come out with anything other than giving thanks to God.

Where is true happiness?

It's about being happy as much as you're grateful.

Those who have gratitude and joy because of Jesus Christ, who came to this earth as the crystal of God's love, are truly blessed. We must become a Christian who lives by faith every day, giving thanks for His great grace.

Prayer / Heavenly Father

Thank you for allowing God's grace to come to you with thanksgiving and to make you a child of the Lord who prays. For the grace you always give me, let me live a life of thanksgiving, and let all people on this earth come to know God and become a nation that sings the joy of salvation.

I beg you in particular

Pray for North Korea.

The world is in chaos with the death of Chairman Kim Jong-il.

Give me wisdom to get through this difficult time well.

May the day come soon when the South and the North will unite to serve God.

In difficult times, please help me to live a better life of faith.

Help me to be a blessed Christian who walks boldly and obeys the word of God and the help of the Holy Spirit.

I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen
