Title: Like the Happy Cornelius Family Bible: Acts 10:1-8
May is Family Month. Children's Day on May 1st, Children's Day on May 5th, and Independence Hall at the Children's Sunday School. This is Korea's historical experience center. I asked the children who had been there. What did you see and how did you feel? Child Answer: Japanese people are bad. I could see that Korea was blessed by God. I replied that it was good, and so on.
If you have time, please visit with your family. Starting this year, admission is free. There is also an on-site canteen where you can dine. May 8th is Parents' Day, the 15th is Teacher's Day and Family Day, and our church is Family Mobilization Sunday. The 16th is Coming-of-Age Day, and the 21st is Married Couples Day. Why did the state set so many family-related anniversaries? Because the family is the foundation of the state. The anniversary was decided in the hope that the family would be happy. When the family is happy, society, group, and country will be happy. The government designated April 22 as “Saemaul Day” and announced it as the Official Gazette Act No. 10438. This is to commemorate the movement that all the people participated in to build a happy family and a prosperous country by improving the underdeveloped rural areas and shanty towns by starting the Saemaul Undong 40 years ago (1970s) under President Park Chung-hee.
Although our country has reached the age of $20,000 in per capita income, poverty has not yet been completely eradicated, and the wealthy are not satisfied and become more greedy. Living well doesn't make you happy. Dr. Panta Navaraj, president of the Saemaul Undong Association of Nepal, said that Korea is a country where people live dozens of times better than Nepal, and 15,000 people commit suicide every year. However, he said that even though Nepal is a poor country, there has been no suicide. It is difficult to find a happy family in this world. To find a happy family, we have to go back to the Bible.
1. A family that serves God is happy. (Acts 10:1-4)
Today's church is like Noah's ark, and Cornelius's family is a saved church community. Here are some good articles to remember. “God is the owner of this house, the unseen guest at every meal, and the silent listener in every conversation.”
2. We must understand and love each other between the couple and the children.
The Cornelius family is presented as a model of a happy family. Acts 10:2 - "He was devout and feared God with all his household, gave many alms to the people, and prayed constantly to God."
It means that the whole family is together with the father, mother, son, and daughter as well as the whole family. We can be together only when we understand and love each other. Together, we can give relief for our neighbors. Together, it is the love between neighbors that saves love in family relationships. Prayer can be done well only if we have a loving heart.
Uchimora Ganzo: A happy family is a family with a husband, a wife, and children between them. When the autumn night is quiet, they sit around a lamp and bow their heads in prayer to God. Jesus is where two or three people gather in my name. He said it would be in the midst of it, but what is a more beautiful family than this? The queen's court is nothing to envy.
3. A family that worships God is a happy family. (Acts 10:44-48)
The Apostle Peter was invited to the house of Cornelius, a Roman army officer, and worshiped God. Instead of listening to Peter's sermons, I listened to them in front of God (Acts 10:33-35). The Holy Spirit came upon the house, and they were all baptized and the people of heaven and the kingdom of heaven were established.
I hope that all of our families will be saved like Noah's family and Cornelius's family.
