If you were to ask a Christian, “Which one do you give priority to living, church or family?”, what would your answer be?
This question is not a good question. This is a question that may raise the question itself.
If you look around the lives of Christians, there are many conflicts between the church and the family. I am zealous at church, but I often see conflicts at home. It's obviously not going to happen because you want to create a conflict.
Whenever a conflict arises like this, the comforting Bible verse is, “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the world. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.”
However, when the word of God is interpreted literally, great errors can occur.
If you receive only a letter without considering the purpose of the Word and the circumstances of the times, you can distort the fundamental meaning of the Word.
The basic principle of the Bible is to give peace, not a sword, and He does not want to destroy the family, He wants reconciliation.
Therefore, if you are living a religious life and are in conflict with family members, you need to think deeply about what the problem is.
There is no right answer in resolving conflict Because each family has different aspects of conflict, different circumstances, and different ideas, it is right to ask for wisdom while praying about how to resolve conflicts due to faith.
The Apostle Paul compares the relationship between husband and wife to the relationship between Christ and the church. That is why a family that begins with a couple's meeting is precious. The family cherishes the church and serves it, and the church cherishes the family and takes care of it.
A crisis in the family leads to a crisis in the church. The crisis of the head of the household is to foretell a collapsed society.
It is often said that the first institution that God established was the family. However, there are two institutions that God established in the first place. home and church Because Adam and Eve are together, it is the church, and because they are married, it is the family.
It sounds very simple, but it has a profound meaning. The church cannot think apart from the family, and the family cannot think apart from the church. Fundamentally, the church and the family are the best gifts God has given us.
Of course, looking at our reality, there are still many cases where families have not been fully evangelized because of unbelieving families, but when God established a family and a church on this earth, they were never two but one.
In this sense, doing well in church life should be built at the same time as doing well in family life.
1 Peter 3: 1, 2 says, “Wives, in the same way submit to your husbands. This is so that even if anyone disobeys the Way, he may be saved, not by words but by the works of his wife, because they fear and see your chaste deeds.”
According to 1 Peter 3:7, “Husbands, in the same way live together with your wives according to knowledge, and honor them, knowing that they are weaker vessels and one who will also inherit the grace of life.”
