Mainly active around A.D. 30-70. This period was a very important period in the history of redemption and the church, including the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus on the cross, the events of the coming of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost, and the beginning, transitional, and expansion period of the church. On the other hand, it was also a time of trial for the church, when the persecution of the Jews who crucified Jesus and the persecution of the Romans who forced the worship of the emperor gradually intensified. As a person who directly witnessed and experienced all the events of this important period, Mark is indeed a very important witness of history.

④ A person who is loyal and devoted because Paul, who faced death when reunited after conflict with Paul, wanted to be with Mark.

⑥ A person who has an excellent memory and a delicate personality, considering that the sermons were compiled by collecting Peter's words.

② A living witness of the history of the early church as a person who directly accompanied and witnessed the deeds of Peter, the disciple of Jesus.
6. Key achievements
① The record of the Gospel of Mark (A.D.65-70). ② Compilation of sermons by collecting the sayings of Peter.
③ As an evangelist of the early church, working together as a servant of Paul and Peter (Colossians 4:10; 1 Peter 5:13)
7. Major Mistakes
① I got off during the first missionary journey with Paul (Acts 13:5-13).
② When Jesus was arrested, he followed Jesus in secret, but was found and ran away naked (Mark 14:51,52).
8. Assessment and Lessons Learned
① Mark made a serious mistake of getting off the middle of the first missionary journey (Acts 13:13). However, he became a faithful helper for Paul and Peter by refining himself by taking a lesson from one mistake and writing the Gospel of Mark (Colossians 4:10; 1 Pet 5:13). Likewise, we too often make mistakes, but it is important to have an attitude of mind to use it as a lesson and use it as an opportunity for a new leap of faith (Psalm 37:24).
② Mark, who was economically wealthy, opened his spacious house for his disciples (Acts 1:12-15). To use one's wealth and position to serve Christ in this way is a valuable example for us living in a modern society where selfishness is prevalent. In this way, are we also serving Christ by sharing what we have with our neighbors?
③ Mark's actions, which stopped halfway on the first missionary journey, sparked a quarrel between Paul and Barnabas, which eventually resulted in them leaving the ministry separately (Acts 15:37,38). In this way, negligence of one person can cause a great hindrance to the Lord's work. Let's remember that I, alone, can do the Lord's work fully by keeping my place properly.
④ The reason that Mark overcame his mistakes and was able to become a great helper of the gospel was because of Barnabas's warm love that covered his nephew's faults (Acts 15:39). In this way, a warm person who covers people's faults and an attitude of encouragement are the characteristics that each member of the church should have in the community of faith.
9. Key Scriptures
