Contents

Mark 10:29~31 Receive a hundredfold (06 Song Gu-Young-Shin) Topic: 45. Blessing 2006. 1. 1.

Introduction: The Bible is rich in teachings about rewards in the world to come (30).

He is talking about what a true disciple will receive on this earth and in the world to come. (Luke 16:10-12, John 4:36-38)

The concept of reward in heaven is unfamiliar to many people.

Some people reject this notion that God rewards people (because of the feeling that it is for the purpose of remuneration).

① People: I think that rewards for rank, status, possessions, and levels of responsibility will not exist in heaven.

② Christ: He endured the cross “for the joy that was set before him.” (Hebrews 12:2)

③ Moses: “The insults received for the sake of Christ were regarded as greater riches than all the treasures of Egypt”

(Heb 11:26, compare Heb 11:1-40)

④ Bible: rich in teaching about rewards “in the world to come” (30)

1. Background: Question about rewards (28)

2. Reward: You will receive a hundred times what you gave up (29-30)

3. Reassured and warned (31)

1. Background: Peter asks about reward (28)

One). “We gave up everything”

Throwing away everything doesn't mean giving up and abandoning personal responsibility.

It means (1) aligning one's life and possessions with Christ, (2) using all that one has and one's self to serve Him, and (3) using it to meet the needs of the world.

This means putting Christ first (Matthew 6:33)

2). “I followed you.” He devoted all his life and possessions, himself and all that he had, to the Lord and the gospel.

3). The basis for the reward is ① to forsake everything and ② follow Christ.

Jesus wanted to convince them.

: He wanted the disciples to know that because they had left everything and followed Christ, they would be rewarded, and that they would receive it in abundance.

2. Reward: You will receive a hundred times what you gave up (29-30)

Promise: For the sake of Christ and the gospel, you will receive 100 times (abundantly) of what you gave up and sacrificed (disciple).

It is the role of man in God's gospel work (helping mankind and fulfilling the mission of redemption).

One). give you a home and a family (House, siblings, mother and father, children)

① Some people lose their homes because they are rejected by their families.

This is because when they return to Jesus or begin to serve the Lord, the family has driven them out and rejected them.

②All true disciples serve Jesus and put Him first.

They use everything they have, including themselves and their homes, “for the sake of Christ and his gospel.”

What should your home and family be like?

① To the place where Christ is glorified, ② To the place where the gospel is preached (Example: Evangelist, missionary, pastor...)

True disciples will receive a hundredfold.

① A much larger family (being part of a spiritual union and kinship that encompasses both heaven and earth)

* Regarding brothers, Matthew 12:46-50, Luke 8:19-21)

② As fellowship and fellowship, you will receive the necessary practical and practical help through the local church,

fellowship with believers in his own community (Acts 2:42)

: A true believer must be in a truly gospel-centered fellowship with the local church or Christ.

③ You will have fellowship with him daily and receive the presence of the Holy Spirit of God who guides him.

: The church must have a warm heart, spiritual unity, and strong fellowship.

(1 John 1:3, 7, Acts 2:42, Matthew 18:20, Romans 12:5, Psalm 119:63, Mal 3:16)

2). give you wealth and wealth (all land)

Who is rich?

: A “rich” is any person who has more than meets the real needs of his or her family.

(Mark 12:41-44, Luke 21:1-4, Acts 4:34-35, etc.)

What are the demands of Christ?

: To give yourself and everything you have to meet the needs of those in desperate need.

Are Christians obedient? : I don't often believe in substantial complaints as a part.

Gandhi's words (great leader of India's independence)

“Christians cannot embrace Christianity because they live hypocritical lives.”

; Yes. Christians do not follow the teachings of Christ.

Many Christians do not give them and all they have to meet the needs of the world.

(Matthew 19:1, 29, 6:21, 22:39, Luke 12:31-34, 19:8, John 13:35, 15:10, Romans 12:9,

1 Corinthians 10:33, 2 Corinthians 8:9, Ephesians 4:28, 1 Thessalonians 3:12, Hebrews 13:5) ← Have each person read it one by one.

The principle of blessing (man's work and God's work)

①If true believers seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, everything they need will be given (Matthew 6:33)

: The believer continues to give himself and what he has, and God continues to give him what he needs.

② True believers work to give to others (so that they can help others with their own needs).

: The believer earns hard and gives to others, and God continually supplies to keep doing it.

③ A true disciple gives himself and all he has to meet the world's desperate needs.

: Those who truly believe continue to give, and God continues to provide. Therefore, those who believe live

You can continue to preach the gospel and meet the needs of the world.

3). Reward: Persecution. eternal life.

If you suffer persecution in the name of Christ, “the Spirit of glory, the Spirit of God, rests upon you” (1 Peter 4:14).

“Eternal life in the afterlife” to live forever as a perfect being. (Matthew 19:28, John 1:4, 17:2~3, Mark 10:21, John 5:24)

3. Giving assurance and warning (31)

God will make the ranks of people in heaven reverse. (meaning “many changes”)

The most precious in God's eyes, those who repent and have a broken heart are now at the end of the day.

But God will exalt them and make them very close and intimate.

(2 Corinthians 5:10, 1 Corinthians 3:13-15, Luke 1:52, 6:25, 16:25, Psalm 75:7)
