Ezekiel 18:19-32 / The important thing is now! here!!
* God is fair / and judges each person according to what he has done.
- Why does God do that?
& He wants each one to turn and repent / from all sins... - He does.
** In the sense that God urges the people to repent
& Even the wicked will turn from all their sins and repent - they will surely live.
& even now the righteous - if they turn to idols and do abominations - will die
& says
* Through today's text / What kind of God is... What are the lessons he gives me...
& Let's think about a few things.
1. Verse 21
* Even though God is a wicked man - turn from his sins and repent /
& If you try to live according to God's Word - He will forgive you and save you.
- For the evil done in the past / according to the evil done in the past - He will judge
The good done after the & is / - repay you for what you do... - No.
** What is God doing?
- You don't even think about the evil you've done in front of you - You're now repenting / seeing what you've done.
** How do you even do it?
Verse 22
- (If you sincerely repent and turn around)
& All the evils I've done before - none / I will remember - he says.
* Dear friends!
- God remembers / not one of the sins I truly repented of.
& you all forgot. / Never pick it up again.
** God hides. / The devil keeps coming out.
- God covers you with love. / But the devil keeps revealing it.
* Even if it is a sin that you have already repented of / If you continue to feel guilty,
& After repenting / Is there nothing to repent of?
- God has already forgiven everything / He does not even remember.
2. God forgives / saves the wicked when they turn.
* But, on the contrary, / if the righteous - sin, and do evil, and do abominable things... // What do you do?
Verse 24
- Even if the righteous have lived a good life until now
& departing from justice - if you commit an abomination / sin that God hates...
&because of their sins and transgressions - they will die // he says.
** So // yesterday's good - does not cover today's evil,
& yesterday's evil - does not undermine today's good.
-- This is the formula set by God.
* What do we realize here?
- More than in the past / “Today” - “Now!” - "here" is - important.
- Who I am today / is more important / than who I am in the past and in the future.
* Dear friends!
- [Once upon a time] zeal or good faith - was literally just a 'time'.
- [Once] was like that,
& If not now... - The good things of that time // don't mean much.
- Remembering that time... / When I try to make myself beautiful today...
& even that moment / will be able to have true value /.
* Is my life today / or my relationship with God // acceptable to God?
* To live a life that is renewed every day, / to live a life that progresses day by day
& What are you working on?
** By doing your best in today's life / Living a life that progresses every day
& I hope that all of you are like that.
3. Verse 23, Verse 32
* God is not pleased with the death of the wicked.
- God doesn't like / doesn't like to see the wicked perish.
** Even if God is a wicked man - <Even if he really deserves to die>
& wants to turn around and get off the road.
* Why are you proclaiming a terrible judgment against Israel today?
- Even now... / I want Israel to repent and turn back - Because he wants...
& He speaks of judgment like this.
- If God's will was - to destroy sinful Israel, the treacherous Israel
& It's so hard - there's no reason to tell.
& just wipe it off.
* But, what is the will of God?
Verse 30 / Verse 31
- This is the truth of God.
- These are the words that God really wants to say.
* Dear friends!
- Did you know the truth of our God today?
- God wants everyone in the world - to repent and turn back
& wants to return to the Lord.
