Title Matthew 28:1~15 See you in Galilee

Contents

Matthew 28:1-15 See you in Galilee Topic: 13. Christ. 2010. 4. 4.

Introduction

: It records five important events that arouse interest and challenge surrounding the resurrection of Jesus.

1. Time of Resurrection (1)

2. Witnesses of the Resurrection (1)

3. Miraculous events of the resurrection (2-4)

4. Words of Resurrection (5-10)

5. Attempts to Disbelieve in the Resurrection (11-15)

1. Time of Resurrection. (One)

Jesus resurrected after the Sabbath, that is, on Sunday, the first day of the week.

① “The Sabbath is over” means the Sabbath is ending.

② “At the dawn of the first day” He was resurrected before the sun rose on Sunday morning.

* It was very meaningful to the early Christians. So they got rid of the custom of worshiping on the Sabbath, that is, on Saturday, and began to worship on Sunday, the day their Lord was resurrected.

* Resurrection on the morning of the first day, that is, on Sunday morning, means that he rose again on the third day, as you said.

③ God considers the believer to have died with Christ. Therefore the believer is the death of Christ

dead to the law within.

2. Witnesses of the Resurrection. (2)

The first witnesses were Mary Magdalene and two other Marys. (One)

① Matthew says that two women came.

② It is said that Mark “came to apply oil”. (Mark 16:1)

3. The miraculous events of the resurrection. (2-4)

One). “There is a great earthquake” The earthquake symbolizes a historic cataclysm.

This historic event was a great cataclysm planned for the end times, namely the resurrection of the dead.

The death of God's Beloved Son opened the way for everyone's resurrection and prepared it in advance.

History testifies to the most turbulent events of all time.

2). “Rolling out the stone” this was not for Christ, but for the witnesses of the Resurrection.

3). “His form was like lightning, and his garments were white as snow.” The angels rolled the stones.

4). “The guards were afraid of him” The watchmen were terrified when they saw the angels and the stones being rolled.

4. Words of Resurrection. (5-10)

Mark says, “I saw a young man in a white robe sitting on the right side” (Mark 16:5)

Luke says, “Two men in splendid robes stood by them” (Luke 24:4).

It should be noted that they were messengers of God and looked like humans.

One). “Do not be afraid” There is a reason Christ-followers should not be afraid.

① God, who knows the heart of everyone, knows who seeks the Messiah (Matthew 7:7).

② Christ was crucified to save all people (John 10:32~33).

③ Christ has now risen from the dead and has conquered death. (Romans 4:24-25)

2). “Come and see where he lay.” Come, see, and believe that he has risen.

They directly witnessed the resurrection of Christ.

3). “Go and say to his disciples” It is essential to share the greatest glorious tidings in history.

The women obeyed. The first thing to be told this news was to the discouraged disciples.

4). “Are you in peace?” It was my first encounter with Jesus.

To be at peace is to rejoice.

Pay attention to what happens when you meet Christ personally.

① “worshipping” They praised and worshiped without surprise.

② “Do not be afraid” is the word of Christ.

③ “Go and tell my brothers, Go to Galilee, and there you will see me.”
