Title Meaning of a bowl of cold water

St. Mother Teresa said, “The greatest disease is not tuberculosis or leprosy or cancer, but that which no one cares, no one loves, no one needs.

It is said that physical ailments can be cured with medicine, but nothing can cure loneliness and despair. Only warm love. To a hungry man, nothing but a loaf of bread can explain love."

A single loaf of bread does not save a person. The love contained in one bread saves people. Love has dried up. People are so selfish. Never has it ever been like this. When humanity becomes like this, will we be happy? Let's not blame anyone. How many souls are dying for lack of love and dulled humanity. When the human heart becomes like this, you can never receive blessings.

A bowl of cold water, that's a small thing. It's extremely small. Great treat - not what I want. A bowl of cold water, it means that your life is at stake. Therefore, a bowl of cold water is not small, but in fact has become too large. So the Lord said, “Whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple, truly I say to him, he will by no means lose his reward” (I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward./Matt 10:42). The problem is that we have to know that there are "a bowl of cold water", a desperate and dying soul around us because there is no such thing. You have to think deeply.

There are many kinds of people in this world. There is a giver and there is a receiver. Some people neither give nor receive. This third person is the problem.

How terrifying is “I neither give nor receive”. Martin Buber, in his book 'I and you', says that the problem of modern people is 'a problem of relationship'.

Who is not favored? I have only received it all, but since I did not receive it, I will not give it. This is a person who disobeys the will of heaven. That's why the world becomes miserable when you say you won't get it and won't give it to you.

Let's go back to the early church. Look at how the Spirit-Filled Church and the Spirit-Filled Church's ethic came about. I did not know before that the poor were by my side. Rather than not knowing, it was out of interest. But when I was filled with the Holy Spirit, I saw a person who needed what I had.

I am too much and that person is too little. That's why it's so-called 'consequential'. I haven't seen this before. However, when I was filled with the Holy Spirit, I realized that there were a lot of poor people and I knew who I needed to help. It is written, “No one claimed that what was mine was mine.” This is the ethic of being filled with the Holy Spirit.

In verse 42 of today's text, Jesus says, "A cup of cold water." That is, "only a cup of cold water is enough". The original Greek word for “only” is “monon”. “Really,” “really,” is that a glass of cold water is so precious. It is written in the Talmud, "It is only when the one who receives cannot see the face of the one who gives."

Dear saints, Do you see the very person who absolutely needs a bowl of cold water?

Are you desperate here? At this time, "only a bowl of cold water" is changed to "even a bowl of cold water (advanced)."
