<Meditation>
The people of Israel waited for the Messiah, the one who had promised through the prophet. In particular, we waited for the Messiah, the One who would come, the promised One, who would liberate the nation from the oppression and oppression of the Roman government. After baptizing in the Jordan River, John the Baptist was waiting for the activity of the political Messiah, the One to come.
Today (verse 3), John sends a disciple to ask a question. “Are you the one to come? Should we wait for someone else?” The One to come is the long-awaited political Messiah.
The Lord says “Go, tell John what you have heard and seen. The blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead rise, the poor hear the gospel. Blessed is he who does not stumble upon me” (verses 4-6).
Blessed are those who do not stumble because of Jesus. Many Israelites, including John, were waiting for a political Messiah who would liberate them, but their view of the Messiah was wrong.
Jesus did not come to make the world that people of the world dream of. God the Father came to fulfill the will of God on earth as it is in heaven. You came for the kingdom of God. He came to establish the kingdom of God in me, and he came to establish the kingdom of God in my family, society, nation, and the whole world.
He who will come will come again. After a while, someone will come. He who is to come is our hope, our dream, and our vision. He who is to come is the author and perfecter of our faith. The one who will come is our hope. He who is to come is happy. I want to give thanks, thank you, love, and be happy through Jesus, who is to come who is in me now. I hope that you will live with your dreams and visions through Jesus, who will come in the future.
<Prayer>
