Sunday: Jesus enters Jerusalem as the humble King of Peace riding on a colt that no one has ever ridden. The people believe in Jesus as the Messiah who will save Israel politically and welcome him by praising “Hosanna, the one who comes in the name of the Lord.” But Jesus wept as he saw the temple that would be destroyed by judgment. (Matthew 21:1-11, John 12:12-19)
Monday: Jesus drove out the merchants from the Gentile Court of the temple, cleansed the temple, and healed the blind and the lame. And while he was teaching in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the heads of the people began conspiring to kill him. (Matthew 21:12-13. Luke 19:45-46)
Tuesdays and Wednesdays: Teaching the people in the temple, answering the cunning questions of the scribes, high priests, and Pharisees, predicting the destruction of the temple, the great tribulation, the signs of the end, the persecution of the disciples, and the second coming. I beg you Judas Iscariot decides to sell Jesus to the Jews. (Matthew 26:1-5, Mark 14:1-11)
Thursday: It is the evening of Passover. Jesus has the Last Supper in a family attic. He washed the feet of the disciples who were arguing with each other about who was bigger, showed them what they should serve each other, points out Judas the traitor, and talks about the death and resurrection of the cross. And Peter tells him to deny Jesus three times. That night, in the Garden of Gethsemane, he prays that his sweat becomes drops of blood and receives the cup of sin for all mankind. Judas comes up with the crowd, arrests Jesus and hands him over to the high priest. (Matthew 26:47-56, John 18:3-13)
Friday: Trial in Pilate's court. At the request of the Jews, Barabbas was released, and instead Jesus was sentenced to death, and on that day he was crucified and buried. (Matthew 27:1-2, John 18:28-38)
Sunday: Dawn, Resurrection! After appearing to Mary Magdalene, Peter, and the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, and to several disciples on the Sea of Galilee, etc., He showed that He rose again as prophesied, and after giving the mission of witnessing, He ascends into heaven. (Matthew 28:1-7, John 22:11-17)
