Title Meet Christmas like this
Content Meet Christmas like this
Christmas is celebrated in December, the last month of the year.
Christmas is approaching in the third season of blessings where you can meet white snow in not too cold weather. Just thinking about it makes everyone, including children, flutter and rejoice.
However, it is a freezing Christmas, so families and churches are busy planning this year's Christmas event. Christmas is a holy celebration of reception, thanksgiving and celebration of God's unspeakable gift of love.
It is a day of worship to meet the coming Jesus Christ with our hearts and worship with reverence. So that parents and children can enjoy the true meaning of Christmas at home, I would like to introduce a few things.
● Teach us to say, "It's the day Jesus came to this earth to save us."
● Read the story of the birth of Jesus as recorded in the Bible. Before going to bed, sit next to your child, open the Bible, and read Luke 2:1-20 and Matthew 2:1-12 comfortably.
● Open the Bible storybook translated in an easy-to-understand way for children and read the content related to Christmas.
● Help children memorize Bible verses about Christmas.
● While waiting for Christmas, wake your children up every morning with a Christmas hymn.
● Occasionally hum a Christmas song and invite the children to sing along.
● Explain the meaning of Christmas and discuss with your children how to look forward to Christmas.
● Hang pictures or decorations related to Christmas on the entrance hall or study room.
● Take your children to a place that sells Christian supplies so they can browse through Christmas items, cards, and decorations, and bring home one or two of them.
● Have them put together the puzzle pictures about Christmas.
● Set aside a day for your family to sit around and make Christmas cards for each other. And make some Christmas decorations too.
● Let them know that giving gifts is more enjoyable than receiving them at Christmas, and have them prepare a simple gift.
Whenever you pray with your children, continue the prayer of thanksgiving to welcome Jesus for us.
● Have a family worship service on the evening of Christmas. If you have children who are in the second grade or higher of public school, have them make their own home worship bulletin.
● Create a soft atmosphere in your home to welcome Christmas with joy-peace-love.
● Choose a friend you want to share Jesus with this Christmas and invite them to your home.
● Make time to celebrate Christmas with your grandparents. Put the Advent calendar on the wall, study day by day, put stickers on them and lead them to wait for Christmas.
● Celebrate Christmas with your neighbors' families.
● Invite children to participate in gatherings to share love for neighbors on Christmas Day (unsupportive seniors, orphanages, hospitals, sanitation centers, boys and girls group consolation groups)
● When you go out on the street, ask the beggar sitting on the overpass to say "Merry Christmas" to the beggar.
● Have children wear Christmas decorations on their chests.
● Avoid talking about Santa Claus as a real person and say, "Santa Claus is our decorated happy friend."
● For Christmas, prepare a cake or loaf and sit around it and sing a song celebrating Jesus' birthday. And I am very happy in Jesus Ocean,” and the family members take turns giving congratulatory greetings to Jesus.
