meeting and parting
Acts 15:30-41
We argue in the past that many Jews at that time should also be circumcised, even Gentiles who believe in Esu. Because of that problem, the church in Antioch became a problem, so I want to go to the church in Jerusalem to solve this problem.
They reached a conclusion through serious discussion and prayer.
(1) Do not place the yoke of the law on the Gentiles, which is not a necessary condition for salvation.
(2) Do not stop believing in Jesus and be saved, but live a life worthy of being saved as God's people. When the doctrine of faith becomes clear and confirmed in this way, conflicts will disappear.
Everything was decided in the Jerusalem church, and Paul and Barnabas, Judas and Silas went back to Antioch.
They went with a letter with the contents of the decision. They took the decided letter and shared it with the church members in Antioch. Such is recorded in verses 30-33.
The church, which had been so noisy, was at peace. The church in Antioch, which had been troubled by many controversies, quieted down.
In fact, what appears between verses 33-36 is the word recorded in Galatians 2.
By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the declaration of the Jerusalem meeting that salvation is certain even without the practice of the law and circumcision was confirmed by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
Dear saints,
How good would it be if we act according to what we believe? It is our concern that this does not happen.
One of the people who had this kind of trouble the most was Peter. Look at Galatians 2:11-13.
Cephas, or Peter, came to Antioch. He associated with the Gentiles as he preached and declared
Under these circumstances, I heard that the men sent by James were coming to Antioch.
In an instant, Peter was terrified. The thought of being criticized by the circumcision made me afraid. So while I eat, I get a little out of it.
What happened to other Jewish Christians when they saw Peter like this? Follow Peter and be tempted
I started. To whom does the Bible record? It is said that even Barnabas was tempted.
Even if you see these things, it is a word to inform you that it is very difficult to get out of the tradition and culture that you have been immersed in and to know the new spiritual truth.
Dear saints,
How many old habits remain that we too must give up after believing in Esu?
Look at Ephesians 4:22-24.
We understand with our heads that we believe in Esu and receive salvation, but sometimes we make a mistake and do something hard to be sure of salvation. It's not about working hard to be saved.
Salvation is only by the grace of God. Then, in order to live as saved people, we do volunteer work, donate money, and pray.
Seeing Peter being tempted, Baeul gets angry and scolds him. Galatians 2:14.
And then he goes on to say in a strong tone in 2:18 and then in verse 20 a very important conclusion.
What we realize through these two people is that humans are not perfect.
Everyone has advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, no one has the right to criticize and judge whom.
Because we are all sinners. That is why, through Jesus Christ, you receive grace and receive salvation.

Paul and Barnabas were clearly God's servants. These are people who experienced the Holy Spirit and risked their lives for the Gospel. Paul was an excellent preacher and apologetic.
And although Barnabas lacks preaching and apologetics, he is a man of faith that cannot be compared with anyone in the New Testament.
He has an outstanding gift of counselling and caring for the weak.
What we learn from the book of Acts, we look at the work of Paul and Barnabas working together for good.
The two always move forward with a spirit of cooperation.
