Meta Church Vision for Church Growth-Acts 2:46-47 2012Jan24 Afternoon Worship
A healthy church is not a mega church, but a meta-with, change' church. The meta church refers to a church that is changing and reforming. It is a church led by the Holy Spirit, a church based on the Bible, a church where believers work, and a church that seeks growth. It is a church whose motto is the Holy Spirit, the Bible, the saints, and growth. Meta Church is a church full of meta people and meta men. Using the alphabet of metaman as an initial, we would like to take a look at the self-portraits of meta church members this afternoon.
1. Metaman is a saint with a clear mission (Mission)
Why do you need a mission? Because you must have a mission to achieve success. In other words, success means fulfilling a mission. And I am happy to have a mission. Without a mission, it is easy to lose sight of what we live for, why we work, and the purpose and direction of life. However, since those with a mission have clear goals and objectives, they can live happily without getting tired and pursue a happy life. A happy church can only be filled with happy people. We want all the members of our church to be missionaries and to be happily used by God. We believe that the blessing of being used by God is the greatest blessing.
2. Metaman is a saint with passion (Enthusiasm)
A common characteristic of all successful people is that they have a mission and a passion to achieve it. Those who have passion are those who are in God, that is, those who are filled with the Holy Spirit. A zeal for the Lord, only with that, can work (2 Kings 19:31). Those who work with God's zeal are the servants of the Lord (2 Corinthians 11:2). If only 10% of the members have passion for church growth, the church must grow.
3. Metaman is a saint who uses his gifts (Talent)
Even if you have a mission and passion, you cannot succeed without skills. You need to develop your talents and gifts to improve your skills. Developing gifts, which are the basic abilities God has given you, is the key and shortcut to improving your skills. The reason why I continue to study is not for my success, but to fulfill God's office more efficiently and to build a power line necessary to build a church. So, rather than claiming an office, you should be able to use your gifts to carry out work. To claim that I am a layperson and that I am not an expert in the field (out of greed) is inferior in efficiency. Therefore, you must be able to work according to your gifts, not your position. And when you serve as a gift, service becomes a hobby and a pleasure. The reason we are tempted while doing the Lord's work is because we do not do it with the gift of the Holy Spirit.
4. Metaman is a saint who becomes one in the Lord (Agreement)
Unity and unity are the essence of Christianity. The church is not an organization, but an organism (community). The church grows not when one or two people do well, but when all members make an effort to form an organic relationship together. Like water and oil, if you play separately, no matter how hard you try, growth is impossible. When you become one with the Lord in worship and with people in small groups, a gracious church life becomes possible automatically. To have an impact on the world, all churches (saints) must become one. Local church competitionism is the enemy of the meta-church movement. Therefore, we must become one with the saints and the church in the Lord.
5. Metaman is a saint who serves and ministers (Ministry)
6. Metaman is a believer and obedient saint (Amen)
Yes and Amen are the result of faith and obedience. When there are many believers with an attitude of faith and obedience, the church will become healthy and bring inevitable growth. Attitude is always more important than facts. Metaman's identity is always a positive, active and future-oriented person. God uses people of Amen like Joshua and Caleb. Those who believe in God's promises and obey those promises are bound to win and succeed.
7. Metaman is a church growth type member (Number)
Church growth is God's will. Healthy people and businesses are destined to grow. Lack of growth is a violation of God's will. Growth is a perfectly normal phenomenon. If we shrunk rather than grow, it is the result of living in direct opposition to God's will. Certain numbers are very important to God. Because it is proof that the people of heaven are getting better and better. Metaman refers to those who are interested in the quantitative growth of the church. Meta Church is a church that grows by converting unbelievers, not other members. The church must grow. This is because the kingdom of God comes only when the church grows.
