▒▒▒▒ Acts 3:1-10
Among the twelve disciples of Jesus, the disciples he loved were Peter, James, and John. Among them, Peter has his own special story. Only Peter walked on the sea. “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” It was also Peter who made the confession. The disciple who denied Jesus three times was also Peter. So is John. While the other disciples suffered martyrdom, John lived to the end of his life and is the author of the Gospel of John, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Revelation of John.
Peter and John have something in common. They were all fishermen before they were called. Jesus also made Peter and John prepare for the last Passover. When Mary Magdalene heard that Jesus' tomb was empty, the disciples ran to the tomb as well, including Peter and John. In John 21, after Jesus asked Peter three times, “Do you love me?”, John was there as he gave the mission to feed my sheep. There are also differences between Peter and John. While Peter had a hot-blooded, impulsive, and adventurous personality, John was a cautious and thoughtful person. Although the two had different personalities like this, they built the kingdom of God in harmony.
In Acts 6, Peter and John say, “We will do our best to preach the word and to pray.” And when the Apostle Peter preached in Acts 2, 3,000 people turned to the Lord in one day. But before the three thousand repented, Peter first prayed for ten days. Everyone, please do prayer and preaching the Word at the same time. Miracles happen in what you do all the time.
One day, while Moses was tending sheep in the wilderness of Midian for 40 years, he met God who appeared in a bush at the foot of Mount Horeb. Even young David always obeyed his father. In obedience to his father's words, he went to the battlefield where his brothers were, saw Goliath there, and won the battle with Goliath. Isaiah, too, always came to the temple to worship, and one day he saw that the temple was filled with the glory of God. And I hear the angel's praise, "Holy holy." To the voice of God, “Who will go for me?”, “Here I am, Lord. Send me.” make a decision that
In Matthew 19, we find the words of a rich young man. The rich young man was a young man with no shortage of good obedience to the law from an early age. But he had a question about eternal life: “How can I get eternal life?” To the rich young man who came to Jesus, Jesus replies, "Sell all your possessions and give to the poor, and then come, follow me." However, the Bible says that the rich young man returned because he had riches. The disciples left their boats and nets and followed Jesus. Therefore, what they always wanted was what to gain after giving up. But in today's text they say, "Silver and gold do not exist, but what I have I give to you." they have changed He is not just trying to get it from Jesus, he is giving his own to the lame. A miracle has occurred in which a person who only wants to receive is transformed into a giver. The miracle of the five fish fish occurred because she offered the five pieces fish, and the miracle of the widow Sarepda also gave up the last thing she had, so an overflowing miracle occurred.
Brothers and sisters, don't just receive, give. Miracles happen when you give out. May miracles abound in your future life, in the name of the Lord.
