Title More Beneficial Gifts /Acts 18:24-28

Contents

1, Abulo

2, the couple of Burisgila

3, more beneficial gifts

When people often say that it is a gift, it means to heal a disease or speak in tongues.

Many people misunderstand that it is a gift.

Of course, it is true that such a gift is a gift, but it is not the answer to the gift.

The word “gift” means “gift” or “spiritual” in English.

glft means to give freely.

Generally, a gift is something that a king or parents give to their subjects or children.

Says.

The Bible refers to the gifts of grace that God gives to His people.

I mean.

In James 1:17, the gift of

“Every good gift and every perfect gift comes down from above and from the Father of Lights.

Oni"

That's right.

All kinds of good things are gifts from God.

The details of the gifts are well explained in 1 Corinthians 12 and 13.

Today is one of the beautiful gifts that cannot be left out among those good gifts.

We want to receive grace while watching the scene together.

1, Abulo

~~~~~~~~
1), from Alexandria
in verse 24
"A Jew named Abulo, who was born in Alexandra..."
I'm talking
This Alexandria is home to ancient Greek philosophy.
Alexandria was the birthplace of a brilliant culture when Eastern and Western ideas met.
It is a place where flowers bloomed.
And there were about a million Jews living in Alexandria, and there
The famous Jewish philosopher Philo attempted to graft Jewish religion with Greek philosophy.
where it is.
And more famously, it was in Alexandria where the Septuagint was translated.
will be
Abulo in verse 24 was born in Alexandria.
Abulo truly has a wonderful background.
And verse 24 continues, when a Jew named Abulah came to Ephesus,
A man is well-educated and mighty in the Scriptures.”
2), a person with a lot of academic knowledge
The Bible does not tell in detail how far the academic state has reached.
Judging from the fact that he had a lot of academic knowledge, he must have been a very talented man at the time.
None.
It is difficult for those who are good in worldly learning to believe in Jesus.
I believed.
3), someone who can read the Bible
Abulo is not only adept in worldly learning, but also in the Bible, the Word of God.
He said he was a talented person.
If the writer of the Bible who wrote the Bible saw Abulus and said that he was a mighty man in the Bible,
Abulo's knowledge of the Bible is truly astonishing.
4), those who learned the way of the Lord early
The decisive reason Abulus became so powerful in the Bible is that he
That you have learned the way of the Lord.
This is the same as when Timothy had been learning the Bible from an early age.
This means that not only school education is important, but Bible education from a young age is important.
This is something that tells you how important mana is.
5), a person who zealously taught things about Jesus
There are quite a few lame believers in the church today.
But Abulo is truly a man of great faith.
He has many sciences in the world
and fluent biblical knowledge
Also, he devoted himself to teaching diligently and in detail the way of the Lord, which he had learned from childhood.
is a person
people in many disciplines
It is easy for those who say they are powerful in the Bible to be spiritually proud within their pride.
Abulo was not like that at all.
Not only that.
in verse 26
"He began to speak boldly in the synagogue..."
Abulo boldly speaks the way of the Lord in the synagogue.
Where was Stephen when he was stoned to death while he was preaching the word of the Lord?
Where was Paul beaten several times to death while witnessing?
These were the synagogues where the Jews regularly met.
In that place, Abulo is now boldly speaking the way of the Lord.
What does boldly mean?
I do not know how boldly is used elsewhere, but here it is especially in the synagogue.
To testify boldly means to risk your life for the sake of the Lord.
I believe.
Abulus had this way of salvation, which had given him new life,
Science, skill, and everything, without witnessing anywhere.
It couldn't be dealt with.
That is why they risk their lives and boldly preach the gospel in the synagogue.
However, it is difficult to meet a person like Abulo in our attention.
Although Jesus believed for several decades, he still held on to one life and continued the way of the gospel.
That means there are fewer teachers.
No other gift is a gift, but this is a precious gift.
How valuable are you?
A gift that directly teaches the way of life toward one life????????????
Abulo has the precious gift of leading one life to heaven
that was there.
If you look at the circumstances of the churches today, the adviser or director at each educational institution is
There are people who jump right in, put their heads together, pray and speak the word.
I see there are not many teachers who enjoy planting.
And even though I know the value of this Jesus I believe in, where do I go?
There are quite a few who do not have the courage to witness.
Some people do not believe in Jesus properly because they believe in Jesus.
I can't even say a single word about where I go to believe in Jesus because my actions are the same.
There are people like that.
Others have nothing to say about the Bible because they are not as powerful as Abulus.
There are people who cannot tell.
One way or another, our failure to testify of this Jesus Christ we believe in
These are very wrong things.
You need to know a lot like Abulo.
You must learn early, like Abulo.
You must teach ten like Abulo.
Like Abulo, we must testify boldly everywhere.
2, Priscilla's couple
"""""""""""""""""""""
A precious person with Abulo is the married couple of Priscilla.
1), a married couple
2), a couple with the church
3), a couple with a minister
This couple is a model of a truly precious couple.
In verses 25-26
“He learned the ways of the Lord early, and zealously spoke the details of Jesus.
teaching, but only knowing the baptism of John, he said boldly in the synagogue,
And when Priscilla and Aquila heard it, they took him and furthered the way of God.
He explained it in detail."
Priscilla and Aquila also had the gift of teaching.
With what I have learned, I am teaching Abulo in detail today.
what a cool scene
What a wonderful couple are you?
It is truly a beautiful thing for a married couple to participate in the work of Christ.
Let us discover here something in common between the husband and wife of Abulo and Burischila.
It's possible.
It means that they have all received the gift of teaching, and that they have the gift of teaching.
It means that I did my best to teach in detail when using it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We all need to know the Jesus we believe in.

We need to know more closely the Word of God in which we believe.

there is

They are truly gifted people.

3 , more beneficial gifts

"""""""""""""""""""

Look again at verses 25-26.

“He learned the way of the Lord early, and zealously spoke the details of Jesus.

teach, but only know the baptism of John."

`~~~~~~~~~~~~

In verse 26,

“As he began to speak boldly in the synagogue, Priscilla and Aquila heard

He took them and explained the way of God in more detail.”

Abulo's prowess is being proved more convincingly.

Even when Abulus testified in detail about Jesus, only the account of John the Baptist was

Knowing that Jesus Christ is coming for mankind means that

It becomes the story of knowing only about Jesus Christ.

But Abulus went out and preached as much as he knew.

will be

We need to know much, but because we know all

it's not going to happen.

To be a witness is to testify only what you know.

When you testify in court that you do not know, it is called perjury.

do.

So, as much as I know Jesus now, without hesitation

You should be able to prove it.

And the great thing about Abulo is verse 26.

“As he began to speak boldly in the synagogue, Priscilla and Aquila heard

He took them and explained the way of God in more detail.”

When the Bible introduces the married couple Priscilla and Aquila, they build the tent.

I just said people.

It's not like I'm in such a fancy industry.

However, when introducing Abulo, in verse 24

1),"Abulo from Alexandria

2), Abulo, a man of many academics

3), Abulo, a man who was mighty in the Bible

4), Abulus, who learned the way of the Lord early

5), Abulo, a hard-working teacher

6), Abulo, a bold preacher in the synagogue, is introduced.

We see two comparisons here.

It is a contrast between Abulo, who has learned a lot, and the Priscilla couple, the family of Jangsagun.

Something that cannot be compared is being compared.

But who is teaching whom in verse 26?

A married couple is teaching Aquila, a scholar.

The couple teaching is nice too, but I'm learning from them in detail.

Abulo is more stylish.

How humble are you?

Learned people tend to be proud, but the earnest desire for more is to me.

There is.

I believe this is humility that we all need to learn.

We should always learn from each other this way.

1 Corinthians 3:4-6 says this:

“Some say, I am of Paul, and others of Abulus.

Are ye not men? Then what was Abulo and what was Paul?

These are the ministers who made you believe, as the Lord gave each one.

planted, and Abulo watered; but God made it grow."

Here in Paul's words, people at the time were talking to the famous evangelist, the apostle Paul, and

I see you're comparing Abulo on an equal footing.

When could Abulo become so great?

Abulo was not conceited that he had a lot of learning.

It was not neglected that Abulo was mighty in the Bible.

Abulo did not despise others for being in a teaching position.

Abulo was truly humble in learning the Word.

These were the motives that made Abulus great like Paul.

In verses 27 and 28, we see that Abulus went over to Achaia after that,

Those who witnessed Jesus Christ more boldly and powerfully with the Bible

will be

Not only that, but in the second half of verse 27 it says, “It is of great benefit to those who believe.”

I did.

Dear saints,

God has given this gift to all of us.

We too, like the married couple in Priscilla, and like Abula,

You can use the most beautiful gifts to bring God's glory to the world.

I bless you in the name of the Lord.

Amen !!!!
