Title Nehemiah's Reformation (Nehemiah 08:1-6)
They did not go hungry because they did not have food. They were hungry because of the famine of the word of God. The word of God was preached to a hungry and thirsty heart, and they understood it in verses 7 and 8, and in verse 9 when they heard it, they heard it. It is recorded that they all wept. And in verse 12, it is recorded that when they heard the word clearly, they rejoiced greatly.
The wall was rebuilt, and the work of repenting and repenting of their sins took place. They all stood up as they listened to God's Word, and when the Word of God was proclaimed and spoke to them, they all stood up. They got up from their sleep, from idleness, and from their death, and listened to the living Word of God with their whole body. They listened to the word of God with their whole body. They lifted up their hands and answered, Amen, Amen, and bowed down and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.
This spiritual awakening movement, which took place when Ezra proclaimed the word of God during the early morning prayer meeting in Lent, must now take place in us. The history of reading, listening, meditating, researching, and proclaiming the Word of the living God and being renewed through the Word is ours. We have to wake up inside. As they heard the word and woke up, we too, who were sleeping through Lent, we who were dead should get up and answer with Amen and praise God.
