Title No. / Leviticus 1:1-17

In the human heart, there is a heart that thinks and expects eternity, and there is a heart that acknowledges the existence of a god or a divine being. And you will have a heart of gratitude to God. The God of Israel is a people who have been blessed to know and serve God. However, they do not offer sacrifices according to their own convenience. They had to offer sacrifices according to the sacrificial laws that God had established. That is what Leviticus is. When offered according to this rule, as recorded in verse 9, it becomes a fragrant smell to the LORD. Leviticus 1:3 If the offering is a burnt offering of an ox, a male without blemish shall be offered before the LORD at the door of the tent of meeting, 4 he shall lay his hands on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted, and it shall be an atonement for him.
The core of the burnt offering is that Jeju itself is a sacrifice offered to be accepted before God. So, the sacrifice is important, but what should be emphasized in this sacrifice is the fact that I am acceptable to God.
We give offerings to God. God does not only accept offerings, but accepts those who give. A sacrifice without Jeju is meaningless. First, people must be accepted. God did not accept Cain's offering. Therefore, I need to see if I can be acceptable to God.
A sacrifice must be made by everyone. No one is an exception. You can offer cattle, sheep, goats, and doves that can be sacrificed. Which one would you like to give? God looks at the heart. You can give it honestly according to the person's circumstances. If a person who can sacrifice cattle offers pigeons, God will not be able to accept that kindness. God does not want what we do not have. You don't ask for something you didn't give.
And you have to give something with sincerity. Giving is not spontaneous. You can see what the Apostle Paul said is like a gift when you give it from the heart you have prepared in advance.
The burnt offering must be offered after the living sacrifice is dead. Others are partly offered, and the burnt offering must be entirely burned. It will be burnt down without leaving any residue. Why is it noisy and troublesome in your church? because he didn't die. It is because he did not cut himself off.
You should not appear in the church. The church should only appear in Jesus. Because we are saved because of Jesus and we live because of Jesus, we are gathered together to exalt Jesus alone.
So this burnt offering is a sacrifice offered only to God. As I said before, it is a sacrifice that must be completely burned. And we exist in a relationship with God. There is nothing that is not related to each and every action of man in his relationship with God. Let's see. When David sinned with Uriah's wife, he did not sin against Uriah. That's why David said in Psalm 51, "Only have I sinned against you..."
And burnt offerings are sacrifices offered voluntarily. In other words, it should be a willingness, not coercion. Why did Jesus carry the cross? It was a voluntary cross.
Dear friends, I hope that you will bear the cross that we must build with a willing heart.
When that happens, we believe that God accepts the sacrifice, that is, we are fragrant. In 1:9,13,17, it is said that it is a sweet scent to the LORD. In Romans 12:1, the Apostle Paul tells us to present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. Amen
