Contents

Num. 6:22 27 Blessing like this Topic: 45. Blessing. 2008. 10. 13.

Introduction

: Pay attention to the blessing God gives through the priest.

We want God's people to bless them when they go to the promised land.

As long as a man has to follow God with all his heart, God is trying to fully fulfill His covenant promises.

It is one of the most beautiful prayers in the Bible and one of the most quoted verses.

“This benediction is the prayer of the Lord in the Old Testament” (Matthew 6:9), so the priests prayed for God’s blessing to come to the people.

I was taught how to pray to do so. It is the same as the New Testament disciples were taught the Lord's Prayer.

1. God Himself Promises (23-26)

God commanded Moses to use this benediction for the priests for His people when they went out to the Promised Land. (22)

Pay attention to the contents of prayer

One). God's Blessing (24)

“The Lord bless you” means that God pours blessings on His people.

God provides all the necessities of life for His people: food, housing, clothing, etc.

(Mt 6:33; Ex 23:25; De 30:9; Ps 23:5, 31:19, 65:9, 68:19, 132:15; Isa 30:23; Mal 3:10)

2). God's protection and safety (24)

“Jehovah wants to keep you ....”

He will protect His people as they march toward the Promised Land.

God has the power to deliver His people from all the dangers and enemies of life.

(Luke 21:18; John 17:11; 1 Corinthians 10:13; Phil 1:6; 2 Tim 1:12; Hebrews 13:6; 1 Pet 1:5, 3:13; Jude 24; ...)

3). God's Presence (25)

Jehovah promises to make his face shine upon his people. In other words, the special presence of God

It is a promise to be with them.

“The LORD makes his face shine upon you” The LORD always looks upon his people and shines upon them. this is God's

It is a beautiful realistic expression of your presence.

According to the original Hebrew text, it means “God smiles at his people.”

(Mt 18:20, 28:20; Gen 28:15; Ex 33:14; De 20:1, 33:27; Ps 16:8, 18:35,41:1043:2,4)

4). God's Grace (25)

Jehovah promised that his favor would be extended upon his people.

“Jehovah wants to be gracious to you”

It means giving them strength to overcome all the dangers and enemies of life.

The word “grace” includes both “favor” and “giving power”.

(Rom 3:24; 1 Cor 1:4-5; 2 Cor 1:20; Ephesians 1:7, 2:7-9; Titus 2:11, 3:7)

5). God's approval and joy (26)

God gives recognition and joy to His people.

“The Lord will show his face to you” God never turns his face away from his people.

you don't They are always in God's attention.

God is watching everything that happens in their lives.

He is looking at all threats and trials.

Believers have God's approval and joy in God's interest. God face them

He is directed and is a helper in all things.

(Luke 12:7; Acts 2:28; Hebrews 13:6; 1 Pet 5:7; Psalm 21:6, 40:17, 57:1; Isaiah 25:4, 41:10)

6). Peace of God (26)

God has given his people the peace of God.

“Peace be upon the Lord...” This peace includes peace with God and with them and the peace of God.

Those who reject, rebel, and curse God need to be at peace with God.

When a person is at peace with God, he knows the peace of God. The peace of God overflows in his heart and life.

He becomes fully convinced that he belongs to God.

If people do not make peace with God, they will be permanently destroyed.

He knows that he has the hope of eternal life and is moving towards the promised land of heaven.

The believer is well aware that God will bring him back to his presence until the day he dies.

God gives the peace that comes from conviction to those who truly trust in him.

(John 14:27, 16:33; Phil 4:7; Psalm 29:11, 119:165; Isaiah 26:3, 48:18)

2. Convince them that they belong to God (27)

God's blessings actually convince people that they belong to God.

When God's blessings appear in someone's life, that person is recognized as a believer. he is God

It clearly shows that you are a follower.

Confirm the glory of belonging to God by receiving God's blessings abundantly.

(John 15:27; Acts 2:4, 4:20; Romans 8:14; Deut 14:2; Isaiah 43:10)
