God's guidance
Numbers 9:1-23
God directs our path. God's guidance tells us how to choose. Making the right choice is important. People who made the wrong contract and then blew up the down payment are because they made the wrong choice. When I first started working, it wasn't a big deal, but as time went on, I got a good job.
Today's verse tells us what we should do right when we solve the problems in front of us and choose what to do for the future.
The Israelites had to travel on foot in a roadless wilderness. We too, the path of life is not drawn on a map. Roads are open in all directions, but the path of life cannot follow the path that others have paved. You have to pave the way yourself. Therefore, it is important to choose the right path in life. A person who does not know what will happen tomorrow does not know which path is right. The good road today becomes the worst road tomorrow. It seems like a wide road, but there is also a road of death. The way God has led is the way of life and the best way.
First, when there is a rule set by God, it must be followed.
The Israelites had to keep the Passover in the wilderness. The Passover is a day to commemorate the liberation of the Israelites from Egypt. The way to keep the Passover is all recorded in Exodus 12. The first way to receive God's guidance is to keep the laws set in the Bible. Do what the Bible tells you to do and don't do what the Bible says is forbidden. We must obey what the Bible clearly says. The Passover lamb symbolizes that Jesus died for our sins, and we do not keep the Passover because Jesus died as the Passover Lamb.
Second, there is something we should ask God. Verses 6-8
To keep the Passover, we had to sanctify our bodies. However, it was impossible to keep the Passover when a family member died or when it was unavoidable to touch the body. However, the Passover is a festival that all people must keep, and if they do not keep it, they will be cut off from the people. When I asked Moses about this question, the answer to this question was not recorded in the Bible, so I asked God directly. Questions that are not answered in the Bible should be asked in prayer and also from various spiritual leaders or fellow leaders.
When Moses asked God, God answered Moses. It is to keep the Passover one more month after one month. In 2 Chronicles, King Hezekiah kept the Passover on the 14th day of the second month according to this rule. verse 11
Third, choose based on the presence of God.
God taught the Israelites where to stay and how long to stay in a pillar of cloud and fire. Today we too must be guided where and when we stay. The pillar of cloud and the pillar of fire were signs of God's presence. Wherever I go, I have to follow where God is, not where God follows. When I choose everything, if I check whether God will walk with me when I do this, I must choose the best conditions for God's presence. I have not decided where to stay and where to leave because of the weather or the environment, the tired state of my body. The focus was on the presence of God. When God stopped, they stopped, and when God moved, they moved.
